HBO Zone

One of the weirdest movies I have seen

I think Tom Hardy lost his mind making this one though did we really need all those unnecessary shots of his wang?

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

Needed to take advantage of a .99 cents HD rental Xfinity reward before 03/31/22, and lucked out that Sing 2 became available for rental on the 29th. Rented it yesterday evening and watched. It really was a fun film to watch and I was entertained. It would have still still been worth renting at the full $5.99 price, but I do love me a .99 cent HD rental.

This is the type of film that I do not bother to declare as good or bad, as it is the type of movie that I just hope to be entertained and not consider myself bored at times while watching, and mission accomplished. Also, even in just the few short years between Sing and Sing 2, the leaps in animation quality are amazing to see on the screen, especially the fur and textures of the animals in the film. I noticed the same thing in Turning Red, and just being amazed at how gorgeous the animation is in that film.

Epix

I was into in the beginning but then it became kind of boring.

It had Tony Hale and John Cleese and 3 SNL guys Keenan Thompson, Horatio Sanz, and Alex Moffat.

Darby Camp who played the girl was not as annoying as I thought she would be

The Slave (a.k.a. Check to the Queen) (1969) — Odd but interesting drama featuring two beautiful women. Nothing amazing but watchable. ***/*****

This was just wonderful. Heartfelt, charming, pretty deep, and affecting. Not at all a Flying Castle and Huge Cat Ghibli movie, but so good.

Captain Nova - Netflix. Enjoyed it as it is a fairly easy watch. At 1 hour 25m, it does not wear out it’s welcome.

Death on the Nile (2022) — From a technical standpoint it's not bad and does feature a good cast and fine performances, but it's also rather predictable and it's fairly slow to the point it I was losing interest (even though it's less than two hours long sans credits). Only glad I watched this for free on HBO Max as this was a one-time viewing for me (as was Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express, which I found only mildly entertaining but also overlong). **/*****

I own this

The Blu-ray transfer was pretty good for a movie made in 1985.

I wish Mickey Rourke could do more stuff like this.

He had old grey hair and assume he was playing a older guy?

The girl who played the reporter can't act for shit.

I know it is not Merchant and Ivory but it had some laughs and Paula Patton was a smokeshow and disposable entertainment for a Saturday night.

HBO Max

A comedy everywhere but a horror movie in Florida and Texas

Maybe those people are responsible for all the bad reviews at rotten tomatoes.

Haley Lu Richardson is so hot.

Have this on my watch list (cause of Haley Lu), but I'm undecided if I really want to watch it.

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

It is maybe 1 hr and 44 minutes or a little less with the credits

It was not horrible but not great either but worth watching to look at Haley Lu.

Showtime

I was entertained though the ending was probably not that satisfying though
Spoiler:
you thought it would eventually end that way when the kid came to his senses but I assume most people thought it would be a lot darker in the end?

Michael C. Hall should have went Dexter on his ass

HBO

I liked it though nobody else did

The stuttering by the Fanning character did get annoying at times

I hope McGregor directs more movies.
