The Truman Show. I knew the premise of a man who doesn't know that his whole life has been a television show, but I didn't expect the movie to be so brilliant. I'm going to have to watch some more Peter Weir movies.

Dead Heat (1988) — A bit goofy for sure but a fun horror-comedy, in the vein of Evil Dead 2. The performances from both Treat Williams and Joe Piscopo were fun. Think this is one with some good replay value. ***½/*****

I liked it though it kind of petered off towards the end and some cool visuals and the mirror scene down the stairs reminded me of Enter the Dragon

Thomasin McKenzie kind of looks like Abigail Breslin or some other actress I can't name but with better acting chops.
Maybe I might buy the blu-ray when the price drops.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - a very rewatchable film that is vastly overlooked; Kilmer and Downy and Michelle Monaghan (yeow) are excellent.

F/X (1986) — Seen this one a few times over the years, not great and Bryan Brown is a bit limited with the dramatic stuff but still an all around entertaining suspense-thriller. ***½/*****
Apex (2021) — Another poor DTV movie co-starring Bruce Willis although will say there were ever so slightly moments where it appeared Willis wasn't sleepwalking his way through, however he does spend a fair amount of the movie roaming through a forest. Also, Neal McDonaugh seemed to have a bit of fun here and there, but ultimately a bad movie. *½/*****

F/X2 (1991) — Not as good as the first but still plenty of fun elements and liked seeing Bryan Brown and Brian Dennehy working together (we only get a glimpse at the end of the first film). Nothing special and not exactly a necessary sequel (kind of like Another 48 HRS and Another Stakeout) but still worth a watch. ***/*****

The Score (2001) — A go-to for a solid heist-thriller that features two great performances by De Niro and Norton with honorable mention to Brando who looked a little worse for wear. Not the top notch in the genre but still a breezy but still suspense-filled watch if you don't want anything thought-provoking. Still makes me chuckle that it was Frank Oz to be the one to direct three generations of great actors... ***¾/*****

Maybe it got some good reviews but I thought it was boring
For some reason I thought Mel Gibson was in this when I saw Butler from a distance.

I own this but not as good as I remember though first time watching it in HD.
The football and sports stuff was cool but the rest of the movie was kind of boring.
It seemed like eons ago when Al, Dierdorf, and Gifford did MNF and it was nice seeing them do a fake game and Tirico had hair back then.

Amazon Prime
A lot of bad acting in this along with its global warming and anti-consumerism themes they try to hit you over the head with.

Lake Mungo:
heard good things for years and not disappointed. Deep and mournful, utterly believable faux documentary, beautifully shot and full of incredible performances. 75 minutes of very slow-burn dread and twists leading to one little profound scare that's galvanizing and not even the point of the movie, though it's like a pebble in a pond, whose ripples will follow you for an uncomfortably long time. Highly recommended - streaming on Shudder

Kiss Of The Dragon - Standard issue martial arts action flick. Jet Li is cool to watch but this was just okay, I haddent seen this since i was 12 and I remembered it being super great and my nostalgic memories of it didnt live up to how i viewed it this time around.
Gold - McConoughey was fantastic in this and I loved every minute of this one. I regret its taken me so long to get to this one.
Pain And Gain - So much of this its hard to believe happened. Im a fan of alot of the cast so that made this movie great, For a Michael Bay movie this is his best i believe.
The Da Vinci Code - Never read the book but I like the movie, I watched the extended cut this time and it fleshed out parts but the runtime kinda hinders it now
House Of Gucci - Despite some dodgy accents I thought this was really decent and I was drawn into the whole thing. I knew nothing about the family of the story in this one so it was all new to me. Fantastic cast

Amazon Prime exclusive I think
A rare romantic lead for Michael Shannon
The acting was good though the story was kind of silly and the ending was not satisfying.

Angels And Demons - As far as sequels go, this one is one of the better ones. Mcgregor is a great bad guy and the tone of the movie is really cool. I think I prefer this over the Da Vinci Code
Nightmare Alley - Wasn't sure what to expect from this but the cast had be excited. I never watched the trailers or anything so this was a very nice surprise and creepy. Del Toro is great with the visuals and the story really intrigued me. It didnt feel like a 2 and a half hour movie to me at all. I'll have to give the original a shot now

The Harder They Fall. A blaxploitation movie about gang warfare set in the wild west. It had several things I liked, especially the scenes with villain Idris Elba, but overall I thought it dragged.

The Skulls (2000) — Pretty typical movie from the early aughts with attractive twenty-somethings in the leads and bland "rock" pop music, alongside an overly dramatic score. The acting is so-so at best and really bad story to go along with a laughable ending. Led to two direct-to-video sequels that I'm really not too keen to revisit. **/*****

I remember that and maybe one of Paul Walkers early roles before he broke out in the Fast and the Furious
I don't know how my cousin ended up getting a ticket to see the Skulls in the theater though there was a memorable experience when the usher removed this old guy from his seat for being disruptive.
"What are you doing I am trying to watch the movie!"

Cinemax
Surprised this has never been released on Blu-ray and probably OOP on DVD.
Maybe Scorsese and Paul Schraeder should collaborate on another movie
I would go nuts if I was surrounded with those people on the streets and the hospital though it kind of lost steam when Goodman left as Cage's partner.

I just watched Bathtubs Over Broadway on Netflix. It is a documentary, and it is fantastic, funny, and touching.
Just 90 minutes. Great watch.

The Mist: an okay monster movie, but it has whats in my opinion the most messed up ending in a movie
Million Dollar Baby: Eastwood and Freeman are fantastic, but I always felt like swank could have been recast with a better actress
Rescue Dawn: Great survival movie and war movie. Bale really gave his all for this
The Hurricane: I always thought this was a boxing movie, but its a legal movie and I was very surprised by it and I liked the story and the cast
Out Of The Furnace: Great movie, Woody is a great psycho hillbilliy and Bale is great as always.
Bright: I first saw this when it came out and I remembered liking it alot, this time it was fun and I still enjoyed it.
Gangster Squad: Not a bad movie but nothing overly memorable. The cast is good so that carries it
Thats My Boy: I dont know why I like this movie, its so stupid but its got some funny moments
