Wrath of Man (2021)
Even though the film lacks Guy Ritchie's fingerprints, I enjoyed it a whole lot, mostly due to Jason Statham's brooding performance.
It isn't a film I'll remember much of a week from now but it wasn't a bad way to spend 2-hours.

Krampus: The Naughty Cut (2015) — Heard some good things about this rendition of the forklore and while not bad with some funny moments and a decent cast, I wasn't totally enamored with this one. The effects were alright and the horror elements were fine, but never really was fully engaged. I don't know, not exactly a horror Christmas classic and not much desire to revisit anytime soon. ***¼/*****

Solid debut-feature from Director/Writer Valdimar Jóhannsson, creating a film that could have reveled in campiness but finds solid footing in such strange material.
The entire film is anchored by a fantastic performance from Noomi Rapace and beautiful Cinematography from Eli Arenson.

Menace II Society (1993)
While The Hughes Brothers' debut-feature has been criticized for being full of clichés, I've always appreciated the film's brute force & nihilism.

Nightmare Alley (2021)
Though it could've benefit from trimming of its run-time, Guillermo Del Toro's take on the 1946 novel is visually stunning and anchored by quite a few wonderful performances (Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara).
Don't think this film is for everyone, as the sleeping/snoring man sitting my row proves

Uncut Gems (2019)
Leave it up The Safdie Brothers to make a film just as engaging as it is chaotic, loud and obnoxious.
Even though I felt that Robert Pattinson's performance in Good Time (2017) was a bit more transformative, Adam Sandler's performance here is fantastic, anchoring a wonderful ensemble cast.

Busting (1974) — Some interesting visuals, a decent (if not funny) ambulance chase sequence at the end, and strong performance from Elliott Gould, but the script is weak and is a forgettable 1970s crime-drama. ***/*****

Red Rocket (2021)
Absolutely loved this film, even though it wasn't quite as strong as Director/Writer Sean Baker's 2017 film, The Florida Project.
Fantastic performances from Simon Rex & Suzanna Son, anchoring a cast that is filled with first-time & non-professional actors.

Licorice Pizza (2021)
Liked the film, didn't quite love it as the overall script didn't click with me as much as I initially expected.
Loved every scene that Alana Haim was in and was excited to see her real-life sisters Danielle & Este in the film.
Unsurprisingly, the Cinematography is fantastic as is the production design and score.

Maybe a little slow for some viewers but if you like Paul Schraeder, Oscar Isaac, or Dafoe a must see.

Daughter of the Wolf - DTV action thriller starring Gina Carano as a former Marine hunting down her son's kidnappers in a snow-covered wilderness. It started off okay, but just got dumber and dumber as it went on. Richard Dreyfuss plays the evil "Father" of the kidnappers. He used to be an A-lister and now he's doing crap like this.

Matrix Revolutions
Possibly a case of low expectations and mood, but this was not as bad and disappointing as I remembered at all.
Better than the second one by far.

Fantastic debut from Director Michael Sarnoski, anchored by equally fantastic performances from Nicolas Cage & Alex Wolff.
Outside of being highly recommended by a few of my friends, I went into this film knowing very little.
The little that I did know was subverted by a film that touches on the power of food, love & grief.

Censor (2021)
Beautifully shot with a fantastic performance from Niamh Algar.
Director/Writer Prano Bailey-Bond's debut feature is much more interesting when it focuses on the relationship between Horror films and society, using its main character as a vessel for the world's lack of accountability.
When it delves into being a more campy Horror film, it's less interesting and loses quite a bit of the steam it builds early on.

The King's Man (2021)
Enjoyable performances from Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans & Djimon Hounsou help anchor this tonal-mess from Director/Writer Matthew Vaughn.
Not nearly as fun as the films that preceded it but not the worst thing I've ever seen either.

The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
I would have enjoyed the film quite a bit more if Director/Writer Lana Wachowski made this film without any of the original cast members.
Really enjoyed the beginning section of the film between characters Bugs & Morpheus but after that I lost a lot of interest, outside scenes with Neo & Trinity.

Loved the debut feature from Director/Writer Emerald Fennell, turning the Rape-Revenge sub-genre on its head.
The entire film is anchored by an absolutely fantastic performance from Carey Mulligan.

I liked it though maybe not enough to buy the Criterion Blu-ray
187 by Dr Dre and Snoop Dog is what lured me into the film in the early 90's when I was in that big rap phase of my life where I got all the rap CDs and watched all the movies with those rap stars.
