Agree 100%, the soundtrack is great! Love the Biohazard/Onyx track.

The 1997 soundtrack to Spawn attempted to mimic the same approach to varying results.

Piven definitely played his role well.

The Fear Footage 2: Curse of the Tape (2020)

Sequel to the 2018 Found-Footage Horror film that made waves due to it's clever marketing & delightful chills.

While I didn't feel the connection to the first film was all that strong, it does give the filmmakers a reason to return to the house on 11628 Hangmanor Rd.

Characters act pretty typically for films within the Genre but the film still shines in creating great atmosphere and fun scares.

Catcalls (2017)

Predator becomes prey in this 9-minute Horror Short.

Well shot and doesn't overstay its welcome.Went in a direction I appreciated but didn't see coming.

If I recall, I think there's also some pretty sweet Public Enemy, too...Just a great soundtrack.. And Cypress Hill....

Countdown (2019)

The trailer seemed a bit silly but these fate-based Horror films are always a decent amount of fun.

The end result isn't as bad as I had been hearing but the film isn't very memorable either. Incredibly derivative of better films within the Genre (Final Destination).

The mythos is initially interesting but the film never quite develops it fully.

Aliens - Special Edition. After recently streaming the soundtrack I was in the mood. Still such a jaw-droppingly incredible movie.

I liked it then but scared it might be kind of cheesy now.

Leary and his speech on the rooftop was great.

It was not that bad and had some laughs.

Maybe an unofficial sequel to Swingers.

Drea de Matteo and Jennifer Esposito were in uncredited roles as the girls they picked up in the bar.

I thought it was a great movie

Funny now Elisabeth Moss might be the second biggest star in the movie while Ryder gets roles here and there but not a big name that headlines movies anymore.

Jared Leto too though he is not considered a lead or someone who does a lot of movies these days.

RIP Brittany Murphy.

It was never available for rent on Blu-ray at Netflix but available on their streaming site.

Maybe not for everybody but I enjoyed it and worth the wait though the ending WTF

I doubt this could happen today in the age of social media and he could not live an entire life like that

I wonder if somebody somebody will film a person's entire life though it would be boring to watch 24/7 unless you got the right person.

That's how I ended up watching it!

Finally got a chance to pop in the BD that I bought from one of the last WB Archives sales.

Leary was great in this.

I read somewhere that with the craze about reality TV where any ordinary people can be TV stars, there came a mental disorder, a form of paranoia/dilusion (sorry, I'm no psychology expert), where some patients think they are being filmed 24/7 and their life is part of a tv show. There was enough cases that some psychiatrists named it informally "Truman Show syndrome"!

Wow

Speaking of mental disorders I saw this

It started out promising and then went off the rails.

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

Casino Royale (2006) — Great James Bond movie and perfect debut for Daniel Craig. He may, at least in the last couple outings, resent the role, he makes for a bruiser version of the character. Pierce Brosnan is still my favorite as his movies came out in the 90s (i.e. the years for watching Bond movies), but this was an all around great film, not to mention the lovely Eva Green coming on to the scene. ****½/*****

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

Quantum of Solace (2008) — Probably liked this a bit more than the last time I saw this ('08 or '09) but still a sizable step down from Casino Royale, although I do appreciate that this is a direct sequel (whereas it seems most Bond movies are standalone). The plot isn't the best nor is the villain, albeit Mathieu Amalric does have the creep-factor going for him. The action sequences are good but not enough quieter moments.

Plus, the (kind of) twist at the end regarding Vesper really cheapened that character, having her being duped like that, seems out of character given how perceptive she was with Bond.

In any case, still a solid enough movie as a whole and I absolutely love Olga Kuryenko, shame she never really took off. ***¼/*****

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

Ip Man 4 - 5/5 fantastic film and a great finale to a overall great series.
Fantasy Island - 1/5 total crap I hated it. I love the show and its just not like it at all. Turns more into a revenge flick then anything resembling the tv show.
Harry Potter And The Philosophers Stone - 5/5. Love this series
Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets - 4/5 my least favorite of the series but its still alot of fun
Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban - 5/5 Love how this one became darker and more bleak like the rest of the series
Amazing Spider-Man - 5/5 Garfields my favorite Peter Parker and this movies just great
Amazing Spider-Man 2 - 4/5 Really good sequel but i dont think Jamie Foxx was the best pick for Electro in how he played him.
