I thought it was entertaining and I agree with you about the background. The history is right there and it would be cool if they made a sequel. I'd love to know about their history in greater detail.

I wanted to like it but like I said the film wanted to focus more on the nightlife that these vampires enjoyed with the techno music, drugs, fancy cars and shopping sprees (the shit that appeals to the younger crowd). I wanted to know more about their origins before the were turned. We only get a small dose about the one who used to be a silent movie actress and I found that depiction of her humanity to be more interesting than the rest of the film.

Grande Ecole - 2/5
A young man attending one of France's elite universities tries to come to terms with his sexuality. Did not care about any of the snobby main characters.

Stoker - 2.5/5
After the death of her father a young girl meets the uncle she never knew existed. Another disappointment from Park Chan-wook that is heavy on the style and light on the substance.

The Conjuring (2013)
What it lacks in originality it makes up for in execution. I enjoyed this!

With all the Bruce Willis hoopla I finally pulled out my black Friday $2 copy of Cop Out... what a waste of talent... just terrible... it seems no one was trying, save maybe SWS... shame on everyone involved....

The Place Beyond the Pines...goes into directions that are unexpected and a little confusing, but ultimately satisfying and a really good movie.

Here Comes the Boom (2012) starring Kevin James, Salma Hayek and Henry Winkler. DVR'd it from a few weeks ago on Starz.
Cheesy, predictable as hell, but I did get a few chuckles and it did have a positive message. This was one of those movies that you see on cable and somehow stick around until the end.

While cleaning last night, I had Green Lantern in the background. That's the best way to watch it.
