Here Comes The Boom Paul Blart Mall Cop takes up MMA. You have to like Kevin James with his physical humor and delivery to get anything out of his movies. I like him so I can watch Paul Blart or Boom and be entertained.

Groundhog Day
I hadn't watched this in years. Showed it to my gf for the first time and, man, it really floored me with how well constructed the film truly is. Murray's performance is stellar.

This is the End...very entertaining and actually fun. It wasn't laugh out loud funny throughout, which I was lead to believe, but it did have many moments that illicited giggles at least from me and most of the audience. Like that this was loosely scripted and actors played themselves for most part. The Michael Cera stuff was gold.
Very solid and enjoyable.

This is the End - 4/5
The Campaign - 2/5
The Call - 1/5
The Call was beyond preposterous and the ending was terrible. Figures that they're making a sequel.

Brannigan (1975) – Obviously hardly John Wayne's best work but the cinematography was great and the movie was at least watchable. 3.5/5

White House Down= B (Good, but not great movie. Had lots of action, but overall not really memorable)
Spring Breakers= C+ (Dark movie with some really dark subject matter highlighted by a really over the top performance by James Franco. It felt like a short film expanded to 90 minutes)
Dead Man Down= B (Solid revenge thriller from JH Wyman, the producer of Fringe.)
Evil Dead (2013)= B (Bloody as hell remake of the old classic. Lame cameo by Bruce Campbell)
The Host= B- (Long and moderately entertaining science fiction about alien beings taking over human bodies. Also features some Twilight-like romance. Good special effects with some action. A little sappy)
Admission= C- (Lame comedy with Tina Fey as a Princeton admission officer. Also features a lame subplot about a kid she gave up years before. Really no chemistry between her and Paul Rudd. This was a dud.)

Side Effects...very effective little thriller even if i missed what was going on in total.
The Call...better than i thought it would be and surprisingly enjoyable thriller.

Not really a movie, but I pulled the DVD of the 2000 mini-series The 10th Kingdom, blew the dust of the package and watched the first disc of three. So we're about 3 hours into the 7 hour movie.
They like it so far.

Now You See Me. Great magic/heist movie. Cast was great and I didn't figure out the ending (even though I should have, but the whole movie was slight of hand). This is from someone who saw the ending to The Illusionist with Edward Norton a mile away.
Loving seeing movies on Sony 4K projection. Is that pretty much what 4K will look like eventually at home? If it is, I don't see myself going out to the movies much once that becomes mainstream. Or is the picture quality at theaters going to go up as well?
