Anyways, I've never seen the Unrated version and it was mostly some extended shots of the sex scenes. Nothing too graphic.

Overall, it was a pretty dull movie considering the cast and creative team behind it. Although Linda Fiorentino at the time was quite sexy, the movie itself was neither sexy nor suspenseful.
Wonder why the unrated version never got a DVD release.

Last week or so, I've watched:
  • Dragnet (1987) - 3.25/5
  • Trick 'R Treat (2007) - 4.0/5
  • Scorpion King: Book of Souls (2018) - 1.75/5
  • Creepshow (1982) - 3.25/5

Ah, nevermind. Political forum related (there's a reason I don't venture in there much).

I watched Bad Times at the El Royale today. I thought it was just fine. I didn't love it or hate it. 3/5

Can't Hardly Wait (1998) — No, not one of the better high school movies and has its fair share of cliches, but this is a comfort movie for me that has me laughing (or at least chuckling) all the way through. On the downside, being the 20 year anniversary, makes me feel f'ing old... 3.75/5

Found it a bit more enjoyable than I thought I would. Isla Fischer was my favorite. The part in the forest got pretty absurd. It's nice these guys found a way to stay bonded through the decades but I still find the whole premise selfish when they take someone else's event and make it about the game.

This and the first Avengers are just magnificent in 4K. Like watching it for the first time all over again.

Down a Dark Hall (2018) — Despite a poor third act, and bad French accent from Uma Thurman (not sure why the character needed to be French anyway), I was generally entertained by this supernatural-thriller and in particular with young AnnaSophia Robb's performance and some pretty good atmosphere early on. 3.25/5

I watched a matinee of Night School yesterday. It was entertaining. But, if you don't like Kevin Hart's schtick, this is probably not for you. It had some laughs and a few "heart warming" moments.

But, Hart is basically playing the same kind of character he's played in his last 5+ movies. He's very 1-note as an actor and I assume that's why most here don't care for him.

Tiffany Haddish was the highlight in this movie. She was very funny.

I thought the kid was the same dude in the Killing of a Sacred Deer but that was Barry Keoghan. Still a good movie.

SNL Best of Will Ferrell

SNL Best of Eddie Murphy

Never watched SNL live but bought the box ets for the first two seasons because they had guest stars Eric Idle and Michael Palin of Monty Python
But I had these two 'best of' DVDs in a pile for years and finally decided to check them out. A few smiles and one or two lol moments but mostly dated. Although you can see why some of SNL actors rise above the pack and make it big later.

London Has Fallen (2016)

Was this financed by the NRA? Totally unbelievable story of one man saving the world (the US president) against the baddies. Every one else dies around him but he keeps on walking and shooting the zillion bad guys coming at him while trying to convince us how our countries are so much better than theirs. Pathetic.

Human Nature (2002)

A bit of a miss from Kaufman/Gondry/Jonze. After the beautiful "Being John Malkovich" this has a lot of potential but falls flat most of the time.

Night of the Hunter (1956)

I have seent his one a few times and always feel that notwithstanding the sometimes clumsy direction (by actor and one-time director Charles Laughton) the story loses much in the second act after the death of Sherlley Winters. Mitchum against the two kids 'on the road' isn't as suspenseful as the first part of him moving himself into the village life. Still a very watchable film.

IP Man (2008)

Nice touching story of real-life kung fu master who endured much during the Japanese invasion of China prior to WW2. A bit cheesy at times (asian-cheezy) but nice cinematography and sets and fighting.

V.I Warschawski (1991)

This somewhat sank Turner's career after a string of big hits. Not so bad but people who had read the books thought it was. I didn't and thought it was average 80s watchable (sort of late 80s oozing into early 90s)

Mr Nice Guy (1984)

Okay JC film with the usual humor, nice sentiments and spectacular and original fights.

A Star Is Born -is a 2018 American music-themed romantic drama film produced and directed by Bradley Cooper (in his directorial debut) and written by Eric Roth, Cooper and Will Fetters. A remake of the 1937 film of the same name, it stars Cooper, Lady Gaga, Andrew Dice Clay, Dave Chappelle, and Sam Elliott, and follows a hard-drinking musician (Cooper) who discovers and falls in love with a young singer (Gaga).

Remember watching this in the theater back in 1992.

Who knew at the time Brendan Fraser would become the biggest movie star in the cast though he has tailed off in the 2000's.

Sean Astin and Pauly Shore's characters were suppose to be nerds?

Maybe Milo Ventimiglia's got Michael Angarano to be in This is Us after working on this movie.

Not a huge fan of Anne Heche but when she has long hair

I Feel Pretty - It had a few moments, Schumer went all in with the self deprecation and Michelle Williams was weirdly unrecognizable while stealing every scene she was in.

Weird message of believe in yourself but only if you use quality make-up? Eh it was alright, definitely not the target audience on it though
