Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

I still think it would be nice to have the Milligans on Blu-ray. I, of course, possess the BFI Milligan dual-format set and, the one time I chose to watch the DVD rather than the Blu-ray, I noticed a decline in picture quality. However, as you gesture, I also can't help wondering if, given what survives of the Mishkin Milligans as regards source material (all video, I should think, Lew Mishkin trashed all of his father's prints, as I recall), one would notice any greatly discernible difference. There is a difference, I daresay, between the BFI and Nicolas Winding Refn having film elements to work with and whatever Bill Olsen has at his disposal.

The Onion Field - 3/5

While conducting a routing traffic stop, two undercover police officers are caught off guard and kidnapped by two petty criminals.
Decent police procedural/crime drama that is based on a true story with a good performance from James Woods.

One of my favorite books. The movie is equal parts enjoyable and horrifying.

Hercules - I'll watch about anything with Dwayne Johnson in it. I didn't know anything about the story prior to watching, so I got a kick out of this version's humorous take on the hero.

Last Knights - cliched for sure, but much better than a 16% on RT would indicate. I can enjoy pretty much anything with Clive Owen.

It is on my list. I've heard good things.

Truly one hell of an underrated actor.

Trainwreck (2015)

It was okay. 2 hour rom-com with some more vulgarity to it. It did have some good laughs. I was kind of impressed the entire movie was written by Schumer. She does have good comic timing in her writing and physicality.

John Cena had a small part in it, but he was hilarious.

The Kentucky Fried Movie

Dukes of Hazzard

Or simply known as the movie with Jessica Simpson at her maximum hotness before a gradual decline and developed a mom bod.

I agree and it's a shame because he can wipe the floor with most of Hollywood's leading men.

Waiting for Armageddon - 4/5

Documentary about evangelical Christians who believe we are in the last days and are hoping for a full-scale holy war between Jews and Muslims in the Middle East to help fulfill the biblical prophesy of the second coming. Hilarious, sad and disturbing.

Fuck yes, he can. Just thought of another great movie starring him, directed by David Schwimmer: "Trust."

Why Don't You Play In Hell? - (2013)

Very funny Japanese flick.
Spoiler:
I was rolling in laughing at the cameraman shooting with the semi-automatic while he filming the shoot-out.

Java Heat

2013 straight to video movie starring Kellan Lutz and Mickey Rourke. Saw this on Netflix the other night.

I loved the idea of the movie shooting an international action thriller taking place in Indonesia, but Lutz is a terrible leading man. There was some good action and fight scenes, but the movie would have worked much better with someone else as the hero.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation

Fantastic film...and like most everyone else, I was really impressed with Rebecca Ferguson, as she was not just in the film to act as eye candy for the guys in the audience.

The Houses October Built (2014)

Not nearly as bad as I kept hearing it was. There was a lot to enjoy about it and I am normally not huge on 'Found Footage' films.

Caught these last night and tonight. In the mood for a bad wig and a large cloud-like colon trying to devour the earth
