The Guilt Trip (D: Fletcher. S: Rogen, Streisand)
As inventor Andy Brewster is about to embark on the road trip of a lifetime, a quick stop at his mom's house turns into an unexpected cross-country voyage with her along for the ride.
Eh, it was alright, nothing spectacular, some funny moments.
I searched for Guilt Trip, Rogen, AND Streisand. I'll be waiting for one of you to post the link to the previous thread soon

Wow. First response to this thread, and five months later! Guess no one really didn't see this film. Well, got it from Netflix last night and I'm have to admit, I laughed quite a few times. It's a competely harmless rental if you've got nothing else to watch. I'd give it a 3/5 rating.

I rented it last week or so and enjoyed it quite a bit. It was low key but funny and rather sweet.
I'd rather Seth Rogan do more films like this than crap like The Green Hornet.

I bought it for my mother for Mother's Day and honestly, Steisand and Rogen were wasted on a script straight out of the early 90s.
It's barely a C+ in my book.

Watched this on my plane ride from California to NY. Enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I liked that it wasn't over the top. It was funny and believable. Streisand can be a great actress, especially her early stuff. You wouldn't know it lately since the only things she's done in the past 15 years are two Fockers movies. Playing a doting mother could easily be shrill or annoying but she did a terrific job. Rogen is okay and has a few good moments, but he's just the straght man here.

I just looked at Streisand's body of work on IMDB, and she only been in 19 movies during her entire career. From her resume, I can honestly say I've only seen her in "What's Up Doc?", "The Way We Were" and "For Pete's Sake" (when I was a small kid), during the 70's. "All Night Long", "Yentl", and "Nuts" during the 80's. And I have to say, I thought her peformance in "All Night Long" impressed me the most because it was such a low key film. From 1990 on, it's been "The Prince of Tides" (great), "The Mirror Has Two Faces" (garbage), then the Focker movies after 2004 (the worst garbage). "The Guilt Trip" returns Streisand to very funny and above average comedy. She nailed her role and performance. IMO.
