No way. Keep Cameron as far away from Jayce And The Wheeled Warriors as you would keep Brett Ratner from another X-Men movie. Or as far away as you'd keep Tarantino from a movie that you want to be anything more than a a bland B movie 50 years from now.

I voted MASK all the way ... count me as another who cannot believe this has not come back in some form.

I don't recall Inhumanoids at all ... however the monsters looked somewhat familiar ...

It's not Dokken but it definitely sounds like something off of Under Lock and Key. Actually, it's another work of Shuki Levy who did a ton of songs for cartoons/kids shows in the 80's and 90's including the MASK theme.

There was supposed to be a movie like Transformers but the toys didn't sell so that idea went to the bin.

Wasn't there a spoof version of this once on one of those WB shows like Freakazoid or Animaniacs? I recall it being pretty close to the source material.

Re: Select an 80s Cartoon for Major Motion Picture

For the poll choices, I went with MASK.

I never really cared for Thundercats though I know it has a lot of fans.

Don't think it ever had a cartoon but I was a big fan of the Starriors toy line. They came with a comic book so there's already a story line and that could be an interesting film property:

There's a Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law episode that comes to mind.

Bionic Six would make an excellent action adventure film.

Re: Select an 80s Cartoon for Major Motion Picture

Thundarr got kind of screwed by not having a toy line. He-Man came out right after it and was a huge success, but in my opinion Thundarr had the cooler concept.

The apocalypse is huge right now, I think a Thundarr movie would be excellent. The cartoon was so wicked.

Re: Select an 80s Cartoon for Major Motion Picture

As it stands, I think all of these properties could be successfully translated to big screen features. Live action even.

Unfortunately, most studios seem to buy the name and then wipe their ass with everything else about the shows.

Weren't we promised a live action version of this like 10 years ago?
