Jurassic Park--velociraptors were about the size of a dog and most of its length was in the tail. They weighed like 30-50 pounds. The raptors in the movies were more like Utahraptors.
Also, most, if not all, of the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park actually lived during the Cretaceous Period, rather than the Jurassic Period.

Most dinosaurs did not have feathers. Except for very few examples, there's no proof they did. Also, to use the movie to explain why they didn't have feathers until the 3rd movie, they weren't real dinosaurs. They were cloned. Missing DNA was replaced with frog DNA. So, one could say that since they had frog DNA, and frogs don't have feathers, the missing DNA from the dinos was the part that made them grow feathers and they didn't grow feathers because of the frog DNA.

J. Edgar Hoover was fond of propaganda. He personally monitored movies which were being produced by Hollywood. So all those movies in the 1940s and 1950s that depicted heroic FBI agents catching real life criminals were, shall we say, ahistorical.

What about the one coming out where the heroic 50's era LAPD go rogue and shoot up Sean Penn's gang? Seems like the propaganda thing is still in full force.

I guess I like to be entertained at the movies and not given a history lesson. If the subject is interesting enough, I can always do some research to gather pertinent factoids.

Barefoot Gen claimed, in its first 30 seconds, that the firebombing of Japan was the first time strategic bombing was used in WWII.

The Battle of the Bulge was one of the worst. The ending was horrific. I guess having Peiper's column run out of fuel and ammo and then exfiltrating back to their own line was not a good enough ending. Holding Bastogne was more important than stopping Peiper.

Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story. Nothing in the movie even comes close to being accurate. Everything from characters that never existed to totally inaccurate depiction of events and years they supposedly happened .

The Walking Tall series takes more than a few liberties with the real-life Pusser's story.

Remember The Titans - Gerry Bertier's accident came after the season was complete. He played in the state Championship game.

I don't know much about Jim Braddock's situation, but Max Baer's presentation was almost dead-on. It's true that Baer DESTROYED Primo Carnera to win the heavyweight crown (Knocked him down about about 5 times) but Baer "Killing" a fighter in the ring was greatly exaggerated (That particular fighter collapsed dead in a different match which occurred later ---But it was revealed that the beating that Baer gave him earlier caused him to drop dead in the ring) As a result, Baer completely lacked the killer instinct when he eventually faced "The Cinderella Man". To Ron Howard's credit, they filmed the fight the way Baer mostly fought Braddock (Surviving footage shows that Baer really didn't show up to put 100% in defending his title that night) As a result, boxing scholars point out that Baer actually became a better fighter after Braddock beat him.
