I think someone should just for perspective and to see where the franchise has been. And you can find out why people say X is the worst Bond flick. Also, for years I heard that On Her Majesty's Secret Service was a bad James Bond movie. Had I listened I wouldn't have seen one of the best James Bond films.

Having seen all the Bond movies I enjoyed this one. Glad to finally get a great Craig Bond song and the villain and the bad girl were among the best ever. No way it's a 5 or 4 star movie the movie moved a little slow towards the end.

I don't think he was all the way gay. He loved women too. He kissed the femme fatale all passionately and shit.

Bi. Works for me. He was one of best villains ever.

Gay or not, sex with Javier Bardem would be the scariest thing ever. The guy has played too many memorable sociopaths.

Saw it this afternoon. Really enjoyed it. The Best Bond movie for me. Nice to see the 60s Bond car.

I'd like to know what shoes Bond was wearing when he was doing all that running.

Dark Knight and Skyfall comparisons

I wasn't the only one to pick up on it.

On that note, the preparations at Skyfall reminded me of Home Alone.

I actually thought of that, too!

Surprised the author of that article didn't pick up on this similarity:

There's also this:

And this (spoilered for size):
Spoiler:

Not pictured but worth nothing: The train crash at the end of Batman Begins.

And this:

Spoiler:
And, of course, the whole "He wanted to be caught" element of it. Also what happens to the Skyfall at the end feels very reminiscent of what happens to Wayne Manor in Batman Begins.

So, for everyone who said they wanted a Chris Nolan Bond, good news! You got a Chris Nolan Bond in Skyfall.

I like what the guy in the next row in the theater said:
"What happened to Bond in the water?"
"A amermaid rescued him."

Damn that was a good movie. I honestly can't remember watching a Bond movie before this one. Craig is sexy as hell and I'm a new Javier Bardem fan for life. Memorable in NCFOM also. I will be there for the next one.

The gun shot, the fall, then underwater.
How do you survive that?

You don't and he didn't. The entire movie was Bonds dream sequence. A hallucination he had while dying. Javier Bardems character was really Bond struggling to understand why M would make that call against him. This was, after all, a Christopher Nolan Bond film.

I was actually thinking A-Team.

And that ending stand-off is sorta' what I didn't care for in the movie - I enjoyed the rest. Not sure why, it just didn't feel very Bond-esque. Like I said, too "A-Team".

I was surprised that there was really only one Bond girl (Moneypenny doesn't count) and that she basically only had one scene.

Re: Skyfall (Mendes, 2012) — The Double-O Reviews Thread

This was great. It had the feeling of a classic Bond movie with none of the outdatedness. A win win for Bond fans old and new! A big fan of how Javier Bardem was introduced as others have said but also liked the silhouette fist fight. Some nice nods(not digs!) to the past. I still prefer Casino Royale but this is right up there.
