Necroscope by Brian Lumley

So a friend of mine who knows I'm a huge fan of the Necroscope series, told me that on the Scify show "Faceoff" one of the judges, a professional make-up/fx artist, stated he was currently working on "Necroscope by Brian Lumley". He had recorded the episode so I was able to see the episode and can confirm that is what the guy said.I never heard of a movie being optioned, or any other movement on the production. I searched the various forums and no dice. I know many on this forum are fans so I figured I'd post it here. Does anyone know anything about this? Cause I would figure if there was any movement, SOMEBODY would have reported it.

My favorite books. Not the best novels ever, but just plain entertaining.

All I know is that it has been optioned for about the last 5 years. It would be a dream come true to see this on the big screen. Especially the 3rd novel and the Vampire World Trilogy.

I've read the Psychomech trilogy but not the Necroscope series. I would think Psychomech would make a good series of movies but in this day of vampire crazes Necroscope would probably sell more tickets. I need to read the Necroscope series. -kd5-

If this was true, you would figure that it would make bigger news considering how popular the series is.

Never read 'em, but I always thought they had the coolest covers.

I love the books and have dreamed of seeing movie adaptations of them for years. I think it would be better to do them as period pieces as the Cold War was a pretty big aspect of the novels.
