Our local theater had a crap selection of seats this morning for the 2D showings, so I had to go with shittastic 3D. Oh well, I'll go see a 2D showing by myself that weekend to make up for it.
I am pretty excited that both of my children will get to see a new Star Wars movie in theaters that has a high potential of not completely sucking.

Question: Is this a PC or Native 3D?
Somehow I totally overlooked that aspect, didn't even pay attention to what formats it had.

The flags hanging up in that shot of Han, Rey, Finn and BB-8 approaching Maz Kanata's castle are easter eggs. Several of them are podracing flags from Episode I (including those for Anakin and Sebulba) and the one in the top center features the Mandalorian symbol.

Are the 70mm showings only on the IMAX domes? I have the 70mm showing on domes in Birmingham or Huntsville, then I have the "true" Imax screens showing just regular digital in Nashville or Buford, Ga. All are about the same distance for me. Which would be better, 70mm Imax dome or regular digital "true" Imax?
Wonder if an 8 hour drive would be worth it to see the Imax laser in Virginia.

Are you talking about the Udvar Hazy one? If so it's pretty nice, not a dome. Saw Ghost Protocol there. But if you're talking an 8 hour drive I'd suggest staying the night, checking out the museum itself.

That's pretty cool. I'd buy a print of that to hang on the wall.

The clones were a Trojan Horse that allowed Palpatine to assert control over the Republic and eliminate the Jedi. Once that was accomplished, they were no longer necessary. It's clear by the time of the OT that the Stormtroopers are not clones, because none of them sound like Jango Fett when they talk (and you know Lucas would have changed the voices), and Han and Luke are able to pass as Stormtroopers despite not sounding like Jango Fett. Heck, Leia even comments on Luke's height, which surely would have been extra noticeable if all the Stormtroopers were clones.

That marathon sounds awful. First you have to sit through all the prequels, then you have to watch the butchered OT. By the time the new movie starts, you're likely sick of sitting in your theater seat and won't be able to fully enjoy the experience.

If I go, will the other people there also be there to watch the movie, or will they be ADHD teenagers who can't stop taking selfies and talking and tweeting to each other 24/7? If it's like all the other movies (except the LOTR ones), then I'd like to avoid that.
And which theater will have the mass-killings at them? I'd like to avoid that as well.

There are no marathons in PA it seems. I don't understand why they don't do something like six weeks of Star Wars instead and feature a different movie every week. I'd never be able to sit through seven movies at a theater in a row.

I don't think the so called "Machete" order makes the prequels anymore tolerable personally. You still have to sit through the shitty Attack of the Clones and while Revenge of the Sith is the most tolerable of the three it still isn't that great.

When are the new black series 6" action figures going to be in stores?
I already got the 3" TFA set with Rey, Finn, stormtrooper, BB-8, Kylo, Phasma from a store at WDW.
