Definitely a good trailer. It showed a lot of cool things but didn't give anything away. The vibes that all the teasers and trailers so far have given off just feel right and I can't see it disappointing.

I'm really pumped about the soundtrack. Loved the music in the beginning of the trailer.

This "pre-order" phenomenon caught me off guard. But clearly Disney/Lucasfilm are trying something different with this Star Wars film.

The era of the Blockbuster is over. Literally. People don't line up anymore and therefore there are no more blocks to bust. This movie is an Internet-Breaker.

I bet they'll bring in $200 to $300 million this week. Whatever the number is I'm sure they'll be flaunting it soon. It's amazing really. People are still probably putting the finishing touches on the film and not a single frame has flickered in front of anyone's eyes and yet they've already made hundreds of millions of dollars.

The Force Awakens will make more money this week than whatever is actually #1 at the box office.

Robert Zemekis: "That's the worst trailer I've ever seen. They didn't even show the ending!"

So apparently there's groups of people on various social media websites who want to boycott this film for being anti-white The hash tag #BoycottStarWars is trending.

Step right over here my friend. Have you ever considered investing in real estate? What would you say if I told you that you could own this bridge? That's right the Brooklyn Bridge.

I think they'll end up regretting not having Abrams direct all 3 of these. These are the movies he was born to direct.

All set as well, have tickets for my bro-in-law and I for 10:15 opening night. When I was finally able to get through and purchase most of the first showings already pretty much had only seating right up front. For this show was able to get center and 5 rows up from when the seating starts going up.

Definitely have mixed feelings on the whole reserved seating and no waiting in line. Must admit a very small part of me will miss the camaraderie of waiting in line and meeting people and talking, etc. But on the other hand it will be December and who knows what it will be like here in Chicago and I'm getting too old for this shit. And like others midnight for me would be pushing it, happy will probably be getting home by 1 instead of almost 3. Especially since right now I already had the 18th off in anticipation of a midnight showing, I may now have to work it will not be so bad if I do.

I think he's a good choice to rejuvenate the franchise but I'm kind of glad that more than one director gets to put their stamp on these films.

Out here at the Sherman Oaks ArcLight they're doing a special marathon showing of all 6 films leading into VII. It starts at 1amThursday morning and goes all the way until that evening's first Episode VII showing. Tickets are $75 each.

Finally got Fandango to pull tickets. Grabbed two for an early afternoon screening on the 18th in a true IMAX near my house.

I like that the latest trailer told very little and showed just enough to keep the momentum going. I really hope Abrams pulls this off. He has a bad habit of bungling third acts.

It seems that everything that happened 30 years ago has fallen into "legend" in the Star Wars Universe. Could that mean the planets as well?

Yes, I'm still hanging on to the idea that Jakku IS Tatooine.

30 years isn't a big deal for a planet.

except for Alderaan in that 30 seconds of Tarkin's Death Star demonstration.

Well considering Finn (Boyega) was a storm trooper.... I'd guess normal people. Anything canon as to whether the OT Stormtroopers being clones? Even w/ the PT using the Clones w/ Stormtrooper designs... it still feels like the Empire in the OT just has a shit ton of different guys in there. Add in that we've that female Storm Trooper, Captain Phasma, being a woman... it doesn't seem like clones are the way anymore.

EDIT: I also have to add. That this new trailer? Is REALLY fucking good. Just in terms of composition and the restrain it has while also introducing to the future of this universe. The 2nd one was good till the ending where it got hokey. As a piece of art, that one had it going as a light trailer and then the end is the generic hit to get your wow in. This one has the music playing but NOT blaring it. It uses it in a restrained form but keeps the beats going w/ the imagery. Literally making you feel like this is an epic mythology. Which SW has never really done well with in a long time due to quality and quantity of formats used. It is an epic world but it never really earned it. It just talked the talk essentially. This trailer though makes it feel very grand and new but still a recognized universe.

I'm not a SW fan. I really only love SW and ESB. I like bits and pieces of RotJ. Along w/ some other stuff in different formats ie video games. This

The trailer though does get me emotional cuz it just has everything swelling up and it looks like the older films, the films and characters you cared about. It just feels authentic. Something the PT couldn't do due to how Lucas created it.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015, Abrams) S: Hamill, Ford, Fisher

I reserved my ticket to the 830 am showing at the closest imax just now. Lots of seats left. I got dead center about 10 rows from the top.

I ended up just getting one for myself although I know my wife really wants to see this too. She's a talker, though, and a gasper, an ooh-er, an ah-er, and a loud popcorn eater. Don't know if our marriage could survive all that during this movie, at least not the first time I see it.

On the Rebels cartoon (which is canon) just this past week, one of the Clone Troopers (now in hiding) says something to the effect that the clones were discontinued.

Normal people. Remember, Luke wanted to attend the "academy" which most believe to be an Imperial Academy

I'd think eventually that the Clones would have ran out due to dying or being killed in action. Unless the Empire just kept on cloning after Jango's death.
