Need help identifying old movie (murder mystery?)

If anybody could help me identify a movie, I'd much appreciate it. Here goes:

I think this movie was a murder mystery along the lines of Ten Little Indians (people in a house being killed off one by one). It wasn't TLI, though; I saw that the other night.

Whatever it was, I only remember one scene clearly. It involved a woman being drowned in a bathtub; the killer took her by an ankle (her foot was propped up on the edge of the tub) and pulled her under the water. All the scene showed of the killer was their hand and part of their arm. Another clue: I saw this movie in the early 70s, so it can't be more recent than that. Also, I watched it on TV so it's probably something pre-70s. Unless I'm mixed up and it was a TV show...

Does that description ring any bells with anyone?

Good TV movie. I did not recall that scene, however.

It also sounds very much like See No Evil aka Blind Terror with Mia Farrow. The last sequence in the film features Mia being attacked in the bathtub; all the other people in the house have already been killed, and the killer's face isn't revealed until the very end (we see lots of shots of his distinctive boots). I know this played on TV in the early 70s because that's where I first saw it

That looks a lot like the scene I remember; I think you've got it. Thanks a lot for the link, Mountain Biker.

A near-masterpiece of suspense. Too bad it goes astray in the second half with the lengthy excursus involving the gypsy family.
