Saw movies: technically Home Alone for grownups?

Think about it. Also Cary Elwes with blonde hair could be a metaphor for grownup maucaly culkin.

No. The guy goes through the challenges but more tougher, so like they were not deadly before but here it is.

They're opposites. The point of the Home Alone movies is to see McCauley Culkin overcome adversity. The point of the Saw movies is to see people die horribly. In the first, you root against the burglars. In the second, you root for the killers.

The only way this works is if Jigsaw is a grownup Kevin. His antics with the burglars were just the first steps in his career creating elaborate torture devices.

If only the protagonist in Home Alone died in the third movie.

I've thought about it. I can't think of a single parallel. I'm afraid to think any harder.

Then again, I once stated that Tim Burton was the new Barbra Streisand.
