What's the point of having a sequel??? WB could have at least give use a better transfer on the first one.

Re: A Christmas Story 2

Does this look stupid just by looking at the cast/cover? Yes. Will it probably be stupid? Yes.

Will I watch it? Probably. For whatever reason I have a tendency to watch crap like this a lot.

I love the original film. I'm going to pretend this one never existed.

It was never one of my favorites I guess. It has it's moments but I always thought it was pretty overrated. Plus the stupid TBS all day marathon of it is ridiculous.

It's a recipe for success!
For what it's worth I've always liked Beethoven. Jingle All the Way is passable, but probably more for the great Arnold soundboard material.

Jingle All The Way rules if for no other reason than it's chock full of Phil Hartman goodness.

Re: A Christmas Story 2

I wouldn't be opposed to a remake, set in modern times... that COULD be interesting. maybe. but after reading the synopsis, that this is a true sequel, where Ralphie is now a teen, wanting a car for Christmas, this project makes me mad.

Definitely a guilty pleasure movie for me. Hartman is awesome in it as well. Also it's like one of the last times I ever recall seeing Sinbad in anything. Apparently looking at his IMDB page he had a special a few years back on Comedy Central though.

How does Daniel Stern do this, but refuses to come back for Home Alone 4 or 5?

I'd rather shoot my eye out with a B.B. gun than watch this or the first one.

I'm really not even sure what to say after watching that. It's like an SNL Digital Short;a joke trailer for a film no one asked for.

Has anyone else seen this? It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I was actually laughing out loud during several parts. I would watch it again.

I'm planning to rent it on Amazon Instant as part of the holiday challenge. Will post my thoughts here afterwards.
