Well in case the movie does suck I'm documenting my righteous indignation now.

Well this bites, was really looking forward to see wrights vision. What is amazing is that wright has been attached to this for so long. I hope they still plan to do the 'caper' aspect. Bleh disappointing news.
Bigger question is if this is delayed, how does that work? With it's place in the timeline?

I don't care if Scott Pilgrim lost money, it was a great graphic novel adaptation and very true to the original book. I can watch it whenever it's on.

A perfect example of a similar situation is Saw 3D. Kevin Greutert was forced onto the film two weeks before shooting began.

That makes a lot more sense than production problems. It also likely means Cornish isn't going to replace Wright.
And this also means this is now my least anticipated Marvel movie to date.

I still trust Marvel on this though, they've done such a great job on the entire MCU that I'd have to think things were really out there with Ant-Man to make the change.

To be fair, I'm not much of a Whedon nor ice cream fan. But I've seen every Wright movie multiple times. You good sir can go to the DICKENS!! :gasp:  :woe:

You've seen every Wright film multiple times but don't know about Cornettos? Even if you don't know what Joss Whedon looks like, it could've been a pic of some stupid fanboy holding up a Cornetto and you should've made the Cornetto connection at least. They should call you Jokeyboy because you're a joke, boy!

So if that script bit is true. This will be different from what Wright has told us what his film was going for. In his Wright way.
Well... This film development dropped my interest by so much.

Weird that all that time and work still came down to script changes and adds 3 months or 6 weeks ago.

Drew Goddard leaves Daredevil just after Wright leaves Ant-Man? I doubt he did it in solidarity. It's possible that the higher up muckity mucks are demanding changes that Phase 1/Phase 2 directors didn't have to deal with, and it worries me.

No need to panic, I think the history of comic books shows that the money men at the top can be trusted to make decisions in the best interest of storytelling.

Hopefully this isn't a sign of more future Disney interference in the Marvel films. It seems like to date they've been more of a silent voice within the films that have come out since they've owned the brand, but I'm wondering with the prospect of future Marvel characters that may be harder to market if they'll try to interfere more.
