I have a feeling there might be a trailer attached to a movie that is likely to have the biggest opening weekend of all time.

3 months away, now it kicks in. Merchandise will start kicking in as well.

That black and yellow suit would sure look good with Wasp.

I know. Once Avengers drops its going to be all about this after. I just feel like they should be doing a little more viral marketing for this.

I guess it's practically on the same path that GOTG was. First trailer was I think January/February, then another in May.

Re: Ant-Man (2015, D: Reed) S: Rudd, Douglas, Lilly

http://www.slashfilm.com/kevin-feige...atic-universe/

Feige talks about Ant-Man:
It’s not [an after thought]. The truth is the phases mean a lot to me and some people but…Civil War is the start of Phase Three. It just is. And Ant-Man is a different kind of culmination of Phase Two because it very much is in the MCU.

You meet new characters and you learn about Hank Pym and his lineage with the MCU over the years. But at the same time, it also picks up the thread of Age of Ultron in terms of heroes – major heroes, Avengers – coming from unexpected places. Whether it’s prison in the case of Scott Lang or being a very disgruntled Sokovian Twins as Wanda and Pietro are in Age of Ultron. And in that way it connects a lot.

Also, Hank Pym’s attitude towards Avengers, towards S.H.I.E.L.D, and kind of the cinematic universe in general, is much more informed after the events of Age of Ultron, and in a certain way, before the events of Civil War.

Re: Ant-Man (2015, D: Reed) S: Rudd, Douglas, Lilly

Much better than the first trailer. It was cool to actually see Ant-Man in action this time. The villain seemed pretty bland, but that's a common trend with Marvel films. I still can't help but wonder what we would have gotten if Wright had stayed on the project, I bet the humor would have been better, the jokes in this trailer felt like typical blockbuster fare. However, I will admit that the train gag at the end was pretty great, and I hope there's more stuff like that in the movie.

hahahaha. The train.

Still a generic trailer but it's entertaining.

The train gag was great, but im still not sure about this one. Seems like there is a problem with tone. Is it serious or campy, or both?

Pretty much every MCU movie has been a blend of serious and campy.

I was kind of thinking that too. Seems like something that would pop from his humor.

Damn, that looked pretty fucking legit. Yeah, the train bit gave me a chuckle. I'm digging Yellowjacket's look.

It looks like its going to be a bit both. I think that is why I am seeing complaints of tone..

At the end of the day, this is a movie about a guy who shrinks to the size of an ant. They can't take it too seriously. It would be silly if they did.

I liked this trailer. Definitely sold me on the film more than the teaser. Seems odd tonally, but then so did GOTG and we all know how that played out.

It looks fantastic and I love that they are sticking to the deadpan humor from the first trailer.
