Evel Knievel Biopic
Per The Hollywood Reporter:
The red-hot Magic Mike actor is in negotiations to star in and produce a film about daredevil Evel Knievel for Columbia Pictures. Tatum will produce with his Iron Horse Entertainment partner Reid Carolin, who will also write the screenplay. Also on board to produce is one of the town's hottest producing teams in Mike DeLuca and Dana Brunetti, who just landed the hotly contested Fifty Shades of Grey producing gig for Universal Pictures and Focus Features. Born Robert Craig Knievel, the stuntman became a household name in the 1970s for his nationally televised motorcycle jumps. Ever the showman, Knievel became recognizable for his use of a Stars-and-Stripes getup and known for his 433 broken bones. At the height of his celebrity, he gained endorsements from Harley-Davidson and a toy line by the Ideal Toy Company. Knievel died in 2007 at the age of 69. Tatum isn't the first actor to assume the famed thrill-seeker. George Hamilton starred in the 1971 film titled Evel Knievel, while Knievel himself toplined the 1977 film Viva Knievel! The Tatum vehicle is based on Stuart Barker's 2008 book Life of Evel. |

But the fact of the matter is, bones heal, chicks dig scars, and the United States of America has the best doctor to daredevil ratio in the world. |

Sounds like some folks want to kill this guy's career. I can't imagine how this would be interesting.

Sony in Talks with Darren Aronofsky to Direct Evel Knievel Movie September 14, 2015 | 11:46PM PT Dave McNary Film Reporter @Variety_DMcNary Sony is in early talks with “Noah” director Darren Aronofsky to come on board its untitled Evel Knievel biopic. The project has been in development at the studio since last year as a possible starring vehicle for Channing Tatum through his Free Association production company. That project was disclosed in June 2014, with a script from Tatum’s producing partner Reid Carolin, and Tatum, Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti producing. Aronofsky’s directing credits include “The Fountain,” “Requiem for a Dream,” “The Wrestler” and “Black Swan.” Knievel, who died in 2007, became famous for his daredevil motorcycle stunts — most notably, a failed 1974 jump across Snake River Canyon on a steam-powered rocket. During his career he suffered more than 433 bone fractures. The news about Aronofsky was first reported by the Tracking Board. |

Didn't watch Noah, but like his other films. And I do like Channing. I'm in.

re: Evel Knievel Biopic
Keeping Channing in a helmet the entire time might help his acting.

re: Evel Knievel Biopic
Don't care much for another movie on Evel's life, but if it results in the toys I loved so much in the 70's being remade, then I'm for it.

re: Evel Knievel Biopic
Even though I didn't care for the movie overall, Channing Tatum was pretty good in Foxcatcher. I have no interest in seeing this until I see a trailer, and even then I'll wait for it to pop up on Netflix or something.
