Spoiler:
This is just as great an entry into the series as the original and "Bride", Chucky goes chamber drama.
I'd rank them:
1. "Bride of Chucky"
2. "Child's Play"
3. "Curse of Chucky"
4. "Child's Play 2"
5. "Seed of Chucky"
6. "Child's Play 3"

I was planning on buying it, but it's over $20 bucks on Amazon. WTF is up with that? I was thinking 10 for the DVD, maybe 15 for the blu-ray. Any retail stores selling it cheaper than Amazon?

Not that I've seen. I was surprised by the price too, both Walmart and Target had it for $25. I might as well just spend a bit more and buy the whole box set which includes this film. Plus I kind of want to wait and just buy the box set anyways as I haven't seen the sequels in a while and wouldn't mind a refresher before seeing Curse of Chucky.

I'll go check out Red Box for sure, then. I have all the other films on DVD and I don't think there's any extra special features, so I will wait for this to be cheaper...hopefully.

I got it at REDBOX and took over my bud's house to watch with his family.
Had I just watched it at home by myself I would have shut it off.
It sucked.
The sets, music and look is top notch, but it's a bore.
1 1/2 stars out of 4.

It's also practically a straight up comedy which makes it lose a lot of points in my book. I didn't mind in Bride of Chucky because it was balanced out better but Seed of Chucky was just too much for it's own good. I've heard that Curse of Chucky is more of a return to the style of the first three films.

Curse sure took its time to get going, but once it did, it was pretty awesome. Loved the twist at the end. Also make sure you watch the credits, as the kicker was def a holy shit moment!

I loved every minute of this movie. And that post credits scene was phenomenal.
I must say, despite the obvious family resemblance, I now have a huge crush on Fiona Dourif. She was fantastic in this movie.

As for the movie, I thought it was great. I really appreciated the more return to form of the earlier movies, compared to the camp that came later. Nothing wrong with that stuff, but camp just isn't my bag. Curse had just the right amount of fan-service too.
I wasn't expecting much, but I am pleased as punch with this movie.

I also like the two ideas they mentioned for a possible sequel.

Re: Curse of Chucky (dir. Mancini, Dourif returns, 2013)
It moved at a fairly brisk pace, but outside of a good performance from Fiona Dourif, Brad Dourif doing a great job and a cute ending, there wasn't much to the movie. It lacked the scares/sense of suspense of the first, and the fun of 2, 3, and Bride. I'd say it was better than Seed though, which I really disliked. So I found Curse more mediocre than anything.
I feel like a seasoned director could have really helped, this did completely feel direct to blu-ray. I also found the score to be severely lacking.
Edit: I forgot to add that the dinner scene really stood out in how damn long it took and how they tried to stretch out the mystery of the poisoned chili. Was interminable.

I really enjoyed this. Honestly I'm surprised that Universal didn't give it a theatrical release, especially with the complete lack of horror movies released in October. It had some things that were not perfect(like the endless dinner eating scene) and the lack of hearing Brad Douriff for so much of the movie made me wonder if he was only available for two hours to record dialogue.
And I also have to say that Fiona Douriff did a great job in this. Hopefully we get to see her in more things because she did a great job playing the final girl. I give this movie a 4/5.
