Man of Tai Chi (2013, Reeves) S: Reeves
Keanu Reeves has obtained funding for "Man Of Tai Chi", the bilingual martial arts feature which marks his directorial debut for Universal Pictures, Wanda Media, Village Roadshow and China Film Group reports Reuters.
Tiger Chen plays a young martial artist whose fighting skills brings him "to a realm of vast opportunities and painful choices." Reeves will play the villain and says the aim is to do a "good, solid kung fu movie".
Filmed in both Mandarin and English, the project contains eighteen fights which tally up to around forty minutes of combat. Shooting begins in Beijing in China with additional filming in Hong Kong and Macau.

I admire this project. Good luck, Reeves. It seems like it's a passion project that has potential..and I'm game for that. I really admire what heart this can have in terms of how it's done.

Woah!
Aside from Keanu's flat line readings, this looks like it could be cool.
Nice to see Karen Mok and Simon Yam. Hope they have decent sized roles.

Yeah, Keanu's line delivery is really odd. It was almost as if he was trying to sound dubbed. Anyhoo, looks like fun.

I'd much rather watch very well performed wire fu than the cg crap that Tsui Hark did in Flying Swords of Dragon Gate. If it is anything like the wire work in Ip Man 1 or 2, I am totally on board.
