No post credits sequence? How am I going to go 'heh' before I get up and leave?

The way he goes on and on about the shawarma scene, you'd think it was the most amazing scene in the history of film. Guess I don't get it. It was OK. Nothing special. Just them eating food. Big whoop. A scene with Iron Man challenging Cap to a hopscotch match would be more interesting.

And wasn't the shawarma scene a pickup they did after the movie was in theaters, adding it during the theatrical run?

It's a cute scene but it's not brilliant or hilarious. Hell, Tony talking about it was a hell of a lot funnier.

It was in the version I saw, and if memory serves, it'd only been out for a few days at the time.

it wasn't there in the screenings before it's wide release date. So Rocshemp is right.

Ah, I obviously wouldn't have seen a pre-release print version, just getting in that first week surrounded by cosplayers and standing in lines to get in was crazy enough. How would you have seen a pre-release version, would that have been publicly shown? I would think it'd just be screened for critics at most.

The schwarma scene was a pickup that was done after the red carpet premiere. It did not appear in the initial screenings in the UK, where it opened a week earlier, but it did appear on opening night in the US.

I think the charm of the scene lies in the fact that a)it pays off an earlier line in the film, b)it's kind of funny to see larger than life heroes engaged in something so banal and c)it was so unexpected. Personally, I thought it was hilarious, but the cats out the bag now. It was a one-off, spur of the moment kind of joke and I get why Joss and co. wouldn't want to be beholden to having to do another one. Rather than disappointing audiences when they see the movie, they figure why not just rip that band-aid off now so that everyone can get over it.

AoU should have a post-credit scene with Spider-Man eating shawarma.

Have Tony Stark walk into the restaurant and lo and behold sitting at a table is Spider-Man eating shawarma.

As tony is about to bite into his delicious shawarma...we hear the universal sound of webslinging and the shawarma gets yoinked out of tony's hand. camera pans up and we see spidey giving him a salute and swings off with the shawarma.

camera pans back to tony...

Agreed. I like the little bits at the end, important to the MCU or not, so i'm kind of bummed there won't be something.

Spider-Man is worse than a seagull swooping down to steal your food.

The worst is when a Spider-Man swings over and poops on your head.

And like X-Men vol 2 #1, it will be worth a fortune in the future! Buy 10 copies of every variant cover and you will be a millionaire in 20 years!
