I think that's actually the space dude Loki was talking to throughout the movie.

I thought it was the alien leader speaking with Thanos.

Yes, I know nothing about Norse mythology.

I guess I saw Loki in the trailer, but didn't recognize him and wasn't expecting it to be only him as the main villain.

Dr. Doom appears after part of the credits roll along with who appears to be Thanos.
You've got to be Thread Crapping or blind as hell.

This is Doom from the last FF movie. I totally forgot wtf he looked like exactly in these films.

and I can't find a pic of The Other. But anyway...they looked nothing alike aside from a hood, sounded nothing alike, Doom isn't part of Marvel Studios' properties. Where the hell did you conclude that Doom was in Space w/ control of an Alien army? Also...did you not see the film?

Why would anyone for a second think that's Doom when he's talking about the Earth as a planet that's not his (Doom's a human).

I did like when he said to Thanos that it would be like "courting death", to which Thanos smiles, as all nerds know Thanos is in love with Death - and I don't mean the act of death, but the literal personification of death in the Marvel universe, which is a hot chick in a robe.

A guy in the theater at my showing was explaining to his friend that it was Dr. Doom and Galactus.

For someone who constantly complains about the lost art of filmmaking (that is you, right?), you seem to be unable to tell the difference between a shitty, poorly written, spastically directed, padded out series of films and a tight, well written, well directed, perfectly cast one.

I think that just shows a lot of average movie goers lump all these comic book movies together. Not many people know who Thanos is, and not many people know that different properties are with different studios.

Although I don't think there's an excuse for not knowing who Loki is; even if you haven't watched Thor, he's in trailers, movie descriptions, previews, whatever. Although knowing norse mythology is kind of a silly expectation

Also...some of you didn't like like Jackson in this. I think he played a pretty badass fury. Took command when he needed, was serious, had some heart, and got shit done.

Ditto on Maria Hill, also...that little action bit w/ her was pretty badass. Didn't imagine her to do that little bit of jumping in the vehicle.

The funny thing is, this guy sounded like Toby from American Splendor, so I wasn't expecting such wrongness.

To be fair, only one person has complained about this, and I suspect he's attempting to pull one of these on the thread:

I bet some people thought it was Darkseid, due to him being more well known than Thanos because of the DCAU.

A Hawkeye/Black Widow team up would be good.

Re: The Avengers (Whedon, 2012) — The Reviews Thread

I'd take a Hawkeye/Black Widow film over a film over just one of them. They work well together. And if they did...I'd hope it'd be a spy thriller of sorts while also having some good action. Which is funny cuz not since The Ultimates has Hawkeye ever been a SHIELD agent, correct? I don't mind it...fits well in the cartoon too.

It hit me a bit after the movie ended...that Hawkeye never did take down The Hulk. I remember Renner saying that Hawk could do that. Wonder if that's somehow in the deleted scenes....but even w/ that...where could that happen storywise? Does Hawk take down Hulk while still on the helicarrier and that's when Hulk falls from the sky?

The surprise twist to the Bourne Legacy is that it takes place in the Marvel universe and that Renner's character in that film becomes Hawkeye!

Hurt Locker Renner would end it all from a safe distance.

It looked nice in 3D (especially considering it was a conversion) but nothing necessary to enjoy the flick.
thanks alot
