Recordings of audience reactions to famous scenes (JAWS, HALLOWEEN, LETHAL WEAPON)

A friend sent me a link to these.

Various people recorded the audience reactions to famous scenes from films

1) The last 5 minutes of HALLOWEEN (from 1979 showing):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GRSz1XNT-Q

2) Brody encounters the shark for the first time in JAWS:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Req9CzVJrZU

3) This is a great one:

The audience goes ape-shit for the Jet LI / Mel Gibson fight in Lethal Weapon 4 in 1998:

I wish I would have an audience recording of when I saw Irreversible.
Never seen so many walkouts and outraged people in my life.

Well when you look over at the girl sitting next to you and ask her if she liked that, what did you think would happen?

Seeing a film with the right audience is one of the last few joys I get out of going to the movies.

With comedies, laughter can be infectious and make the film even more enjoyable at the theatre.

But to watch any other genre of film and hearing people oooh and aww and cheer throughout is annoying.

I would love to see an audience reaction to Psycho when it was first shown.

Fuck that noise. It was awesome hearing the reactions to The Raid. Before that? Grindhouse, Sin City, Inglorious Basterds, and The Dark Knight were the last time, before The Raid, that I had a very active crowd in there.

Yeah, my Grindhouse, Paranormal Activity, and Something About Mary viewings had lively audiences.

I wish I had a recording of the audience at a showing of Blue Velvet I attended in 1986 after Frank's "Don't you fucking look at me!" love scene.

I also saw crowds get nutty during The Road Warrior and Scarface (1983)

the reveal of the shark in Jaws is a bit of a cliche - it's the floating head that really delivers the jump scare if you ask me.

The guy in front of me at the theater practically shouted, "Dayum!", when Bridget Fonda said, "Wanna fuck?", in Jackie Brown.

You ever listen to the "audience reaction" track on the Sin City DVD? Never before in the history of human endeavors have I ever wanted to reach into my sound system and somehow stab people in the eyes.

These are great! That sequence from Lethal Weapon 4 is always fantastic.

I agree with what others have said that the right audience can really add to the movie, especially with comedies for me.

Tell that to the Star Wars nerds.

You mean Ben Gardner? I think I literally jumped out of my seat. Man, that was great.

Did anybody here ever see Carrie in the theater? I could just imagine the "hand" scene.

So, these reactions were filmed in Harlem?

The only thing I remember from Lethal Weapon 4 is that bit when Jet Li jumps off the stairway.

I've been to plenty of action films with much better fight scenes than that and I never heard the crowd go nuts and applaud. Am I missing something?

Bullshit. Screams during horror movies, cheers during action or adventure films, etc.

Stupid commentary or needless noise is never welcome, however.
