Liam Neeson Attacks a Female Dog and Wins: Weekend Box Office (1/27 - 1/29)
Get it? Because Katherine Heigl is a bitch. Ha ha... okay, not the strongest title, but it'll do.

Summit Entertainment’s new actioner Man On A Ledge with Sam Worthington is looking like $2M-$3M for today and $6M-$7M for the weekend from 2,998 theaters. In other words, weak. No word yet on whether those Groupon/Living Social discounted movie ticket deals are helping the Lionsgate/Summit pics but it did prevent the Marcus Theatre chain from playing One For The Money in the midwest.*Numbers will*be refined later with full analysis.

Because the movie title "Man on Ledge" sounds like an "actioner", I would think it's a title more befitting for a French film.

... and you were doing so well with the thread titles up until now.
Weak weekend considering the insanely obnoxious marketing push for The Grey.

Yeah Man on a Ledge is dead on it's feet. It's getting crushed by the critics too.

Looks like Katherine Heigl can continue to beg for her Grey's Anatomy job back.

- Liam Neeson beating up wolves.
- Katherine Heigl being a swarmy **** for two hours.
- Hollywood's continuing weak attempt at trying to make Sam Worthington a star.
The last week of January is always a ghost town at the multiplexes. This weekend will give bumps to The Artist, The Descendants, Hugo and The Iron Lady as their studios have significantly increased their screen counts due to Oscar nominations, but everything else is dead on arrival.
Next week doesn't fair any better on thread titles with Big Miracle, Chronicle and The Woman in Black as the week's wide openers.
However, it's back on once we get the Star Wars re-release in theaters and we can go back to making George Lucas rape jokes.

One for the Money is currently at 0% on Rotten Tomatoes with 22 reviews. I thought it looked pretty pedestrian but didn't think the reviews be THAT bad. I mean, even Jack and Jill had 3% positive reviews.

I already have next week's thread title planned out based upon this bitching and moaning. I already have the joke planned out based upon the success or the failure of one of the three wide releases next year.

You should see Man on a Ledge instead and let us know if he actually jumps or not
