I can't take the dude seriously anymore, thankfully he's mostly in action/comedies.

When would you take him seriously? No offense to the guy but his whole career is mostly built on entertainment.

Arnold Schwarzenegger to star in Darren Aronofsky-produced thriller 478

Written by Enemy screenwriter Javier Gullon, no less

Maggie, Eraser, Terminator 3, any movie where he's supposed to be a bad ass.

Arnold battling that giant spider at the end would've been something.

Maybe I will or maybe I won't. I don't have anything against Schwarzenegger but I do have something against badly written shitty movies.

Some his best films, in my opinion, were genre films like the first Conan, Terminator 1 and 2, The Running Man and Total Recall. I also think some comedies like Kindergarten Cop were good, buddy cop films like Red Heat was good. Standard action fare like Commando was also good, but less memorable to me.

It seemed like after Last Action Hero he kind wasn't the same. True Lies was very entertaining though, a solid action/comedy film but him and Cameron have good chemistry. Eraser, The 6th Day, End of Days weren't that great. They weren't bad but they didn't match the greatness of his earlier career.

I think it just depends on the material though because he has amazing screen presence and charisma. Still looking forward to Genisys.

And he didn't even mention Predator.

Oh yeah definitely Predator too. Raw Deal wasn't that good though. It's a cool as an 80s flick, something to watch from that era, but it's pretty average.

I just wish Vudu would have DH4 unrated for disc-to-digital, their customer service is just sterling!

To be fair, Salvation was PG-13 too, and that didn't quite go so well .

The only time I watched that in its PG-13 state was at the theater. If I do watch it at home it's always the DC version. It has the scene towards the end
Spoiler:
where Skynet is talking to Marcus and you can see a T-101 model standing on the teleportation platform in the background. It was probably being sent back to 1984.
Most don't even know to look for that secene when watching TS. Then again, most don't watch TS in general.

The unrated version is available from Vudu, but in spite of being listed in the disc-to-digital website, the disc can't be read because of a glitch. I tried taking it to Walmart, but they couldn't do it either in spite of the big sign which advertised D2D . The incompetence was staggering. I do prefer the helicopter line in the PG-13 cut.

As far as T4, if my memory serves me, the only differences I even noticed were a brief shot of Moon Bloodgood's back as she bathed and a screwdriver stabbing. Certainly nothing which improved the movie, honestly, or stood out as being "R-rated" to me.

I just more or less meant that he really hasn't hit it big at the box office since that surgery, so it was more of a marking point of his career. Pre-Surgery/Post-Surgery and how he just never clicked with the younger audience after his surgery.

I think Clint Eastwood was the only guy to pull off still being 'cool' when he got older and attracted younger generations to him. Eastwood was making movies way before my time, but I became a big fan of his movies post Dirty Harry in the 80's/90's. Arnold and Stallone were never able to pull that off.

80s/90s were also the times of Arnold/Stallone. Eastwood would have found it difficult in the current climate with the kind of movies that are being made.

No doubt, but Eastwood started to take different roles after his Dirty Harry/Western days, and that is he why he stayed relvant, along with being a great director.

You think of movies like Unforgiven and In the Line of Fire, Escape from Alcatrez, heck even Bridges of Madison County. All of those characters were still Eastwood-like, but they had alittle depth to them and weren't just pure badasses. Stallone tried it with Copland, and I thought he was good in that role, but ended up going to the well again with dumb action movies in the past 10-15 years.

'Terminator Genisys' Makes 'Terminator Salvation' Look Like 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day'

There is no future, there is no past. Let’s hope this Terminator is the last!

They're doing a terrible job advertising this one as well. The current commercials are just "Mom!" "John!" *Boom* "What did they do to you?" "I'll be back." They make no sense and it visually looks terrible.

This is the 5th movie in the franchise and we're still going back to the well of the original, it's has some cool concepts as a franchise, but they seem completely incapable of doing anything interesting with it.
