I just watched the Trailer, and is it me or did they give a huge spoiler away?

I guess they don't consider it a spoiler. They also put it right on the poster.

I do wonder if there's something more to the John Connor reveal than what's seen in the trailer. It just seems like that's too big of a spoiler to give away and that it might be something that's being shown to throw people off.

Isn't the implication though that Sarah needs to change the present so John doesn't become that in the future? So by the end of the film, we should be back to the good, unaltered John Connor.

Nothing bad in it just unimpressive. I'm still seeing this cuz it looks like a goddamn mess that I just have to see.

Both fun clips - but nothing to suggest it'll be any better than the previous two movies. Fun call out w the Nike shoes... but again, if this was going to be a movie that could stand on it's own it wouldn't need it.

From the second clip why did Reese automatically assume Arnold was a Terminator? In the first one didn't Reese say that he didn't know what it looked like, and that he had to wait till it made a move on Sarah before he could ID it?
Or did Reese just instantly notice that the downed T-800 in the van looks just like the older guy also in the van?
Just the fact that it takes place in the 80s again is one of the reasons I want to see this movie, and overall it still looks like it will be fun. But it looks like they're going to be doing a lot of humor again, which was originally done sparingly in T2, and really emphasized in T3.
I'm not surprised, but it's slightly disappointing that after the success of T2, the producers thereafter stopped taking any sort chances with the material. T3 was just an exercise in repeating everything in T2, which itself was a repeat of T1. However in T1 it felt more like it was suppose to complement to the first film with the similarities acting for a specific purpose, rather than just a formula to repeat over an over.
Terminator Salvation did try to deviate from that formula but I felt a lot of it was just the George Lucas approach to prequels: just explain where everything came up and include constant references to the previous films, and that's the story.
