Or you're just remembering the violence differently.

And yes, you see Arnold's dong in the opening of the original Terminator as he walks towards the thugs.

But we haven't even brought up Dr. Manhattan yet.

Re: Terminator 5

I'd actually like to see T5 deal with the time portal, and Connor's mission to send Reese back through time. I'm a sucker for time travel plots.

It may have been more violent, but it was certainly less graphic.

Re: Terminator 5

I'd like to see them go back in time and be successful in killing John Connor, forcing his future counterpart to have a limited amount of time (24hours?) to create a succession plan for the rebellion before he fades out into oblivion. Makes no sense I guess scientifically, or does it?, but thematically it'd be intense.

Re: Terminator 5

They should do a Marty McFly and time travel back into the first movie.

Still haven't seen Salvation. Need to get on that. To be honest, I sort of forgot it existed.

Haha - not tempting me to watch it I guess.

I can't remember much from the 3rd one. Think I found it ok - nothing even close to the first two in terms of quality (except perhaps in villain hotness, where it far exceeded).

T4 is a good action movie. T4 is not a good Terminator movie. That's the way it is.

if I recall it was pretty shadowy. You had to hit pause and adjust the contrast to get a decent view.

*Edit ... on the other hand ... it is certainly possible that they changed it in later release and obscured it with enough shadow you can't see anything at all.
Case in point, the scene is on youtube!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIP78IA1k_s
and you can't see it there. But I'm sure in the original VHS release you could see WAY more than that.
