So this isn't going to a reboot as many suspected and actually be Terminator 5 and Terminator 6?

Jason Clarke, who is playing John Connor, is about 45. Emilia Clake, who is playing Sarah Connor, is about 27. I'm guessing there will be more time travel involved. Possibly the 'flipside' of the first Terminator?

Maybe it'll get remasters of the first two out, but given how Cameron already mucked with the color on one, I don't see it has having the hoped-for positive effect.

How about Ryan Kwanten as Reese? He reminds me somewhat of Michael Biehn from the original. Not sure if they plan to start shooting before he'd be done with True Blood though.

This could be good. As long as they can make it an extension of the first two movies.

I kind of expect a glossy Robocop-like turd. But it could be good.

You mean The Terminator? If so, much to the chagrin of movie purists, not only was the color timing changed, the original mono sound mix was excluded from the remastered release.

No mono audio and Cameron completely changed the color timing so the film looks significantly different. If anything, if T2 comes out to coincide with this, he'll like like do the same to that.

I'll never get T1 the way it is. We still need The Abyss, True Lies, and T2. I can't imagine him fucking with those like T1 was cuz those have VERY defining colors in the palette of the film. True Lies was the last time Arnold was at the fucking top.

Trivia: the jet they use in TL was later used as the SHIELD jet that the Hulk is slammed into on the helicarrier during his fight with Thor.

Thought Anton Yelchin was perfect as Reese.

Terminator is boring with out Arnold .They gave arnold a small role in terminator salvation which did not live up to audience expectations.

Re: Terminator: Genesis (2015, D: Taylor) S: Clarke, Clarke

Blah. Awful casting if you ask me.

After testing a handful of guys, Jai Courtney has been tapped to play Kyle Reese in Paramount and Skydance’s “Terminator” reboot.

Emilia Clarke is on board to play Sarah Connor and Jason Clarke will play John Connor. Arnold Schwarzenegger will also return in his iconic role. Alan Taylor is directing.

Plot details have not been revealed, other than this is the first film in a stand alone trilogy.

Skydance will finance along with the studio with David Ellison producing for Skydance. Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier penned the script.

Dana Goldberg and Paul Schwake are on as exec producers. Par will handle distribution.

Courtney is repped by UTA, Mark Morrissey and Associates and Silver Linings Entertainment and can be seen next in “Divergent.”

Bet Alan Taylor is riding high on the success of Thor: The Dark World

When I think of Kyle Reese, I definitely don't think of Jai Courtney.

But then again, I don't think Anton Yelchin was screaming Kyle Reese either.

Everything about this project seems more and more mediocre.

I liked Jai Courtney in Spartacus. I hate him in everything else he has ever done, and likely will ever do.

Jai Courtney is an alright tv actor in the way Kevin Sorbo was but a terrible movie actor. I don't get his appeal.

His casting makes this more and more seem like it's going to be the same old mediocre stuff.

Courtney isn't horrible, but to me he came across as a smug douche playing McClane's son in Die Hard.

He was a decent villain in Jack Reacher.

Well after James Cameron left the franchise, and I'mnot even sure if he's a producer, none of the sequels/reboots/castings have worked. And exploiting the time travel aspect is really muddling the storyline even worse. Should've kept it at 2.

That's because 2 pretty told all of the story there was to tell, the rest have just kind of been riding its coattails.
