Just noticed Oscar Isaac and Domnhall Gleason are in Ex Machina and now both in new Star Wars...

Even if they did, this all still happens before school lets out, making it kind of a weird gag.

Its, I think purposefully a gag. I think they did that in Johnny Dangerously too...

I never realized how hot Mary Poppins or Maria Von Trapp were until I watched them as an adult

At 5 years old I had a crush on Charmaine Carr. I left the theater telling my mother how cute she was.

Here's on I noticed a while ago, though it's completely unintentional on the part of the filmmakers:

In John Carpenter's The Thing, there are two characters named Mac and Windows.

Speaking of Carpenter and The Thing, there is a moment in Halloween that strangely foreshadows Carpenter working on the later film, as the dog is killed while the original Thing from Another World is shown on the television.

I have gone back to "Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead" a few times in the last 6 months and I only just noticed that the guy repeating everything said when Mr. Shhhhh goes to the nightclub is none other than Don Cheadle.

Re: Movie moments you just noticed

Watched Hitchcock's Psycho tonight (I've probably seen it ten or twelve times over the years) and just noticed that both times Arbogast pulls his car up to the Bate's Motel, he slides across the seat and exits from the passenger side door instead of getting out on the driver's side door like a normal person. I assume the reason for this is because the camera was placed too close to the car so Martin Balsam didn't have room to get out on the proper side?

Back when you had bench seats, it was probably thought to be safer to get out on the sidewalk side vs getting out on the traffic side.

Really? That's interesting. A safety issue didn't occur to me, because the two scenes of Arbogast getting out of his car is when he pulls up in front the ghost town Bate's Motel--no traffic. But I guess if that's what you were used to doing, you'd continue to do so even when it wasn't necessary.

Was watching Friday the 13th Part 4 - The Final Chapter and noticed for the first time that Crispin Glover's character, for some unknown reason, is making a weird statue out of Cheesies. Ohhh, that wacky Crispin.

Re: Movie moments you just noticed

I feel like part of the beauty of older movies is wackydoo stuff like this. Not everything is was so intricately planned out it's so there were a lot more rare for opportunities randomness like this. Or maybe that was Speiielberg's brilliant direction?

Edit: OMG what the hell was wrong with me when I wrote this.

Re: Movie moments you just noticed

I was watching a clip of Superman: The Movie on Youtube a few months back and there was a scene in Luthor's lair when he was showing Superman a map of what would be the new West Coast if the bomb went off successfully. On the map were different names for new cities, most of which were named after Luthor. But one of the areas was named "Teschmacher Peaks" named after his well endowed female sidekick. Didn't notice the pun when I watched it in the theaters at seven years old or in subsequent tv and vhs/ dvd viewings of the movie.

Just introduced my daughter to Home Alone. Never noticed the name of the officer who blew off Kevin's mom was named Officer Balzak.
