Has anyone had a more memorable 3 years on the big screen than Michael Fassbender?
Hunger
Shame
Fish Tank
Jane Eyre
A Dangerous Method
Inglourious Basterds
X Men First Class
Prometheus
Haywire
He's had the best of both worlds, big blockbusters and small arthouse fair. And he's received critical accolades on both accounts, the big and small films. He's worked with top notch directors, Cronenberg, Tarantino, Scott, Soderbergh, Mcqueen.
I can't think of any other actor thats resume stands out more than Fassbender in the last few years. Can you?
Michael Shannon comes close, but thats about it.

John Carradine, 1939-41:
Jesse James
Stagecoach
Drums Along the Mohawk
The Grapes of Wrath
The Return of Frank James
Brigham Young
Chad Hanna
Blood and Sand
Western Union
Man Hunt
Swamp Water
Directors represented include: John Ford (3), Fritz Lang (3), Henry King (2), Henry Hathaway (1), Rouben Mamoulian (1), and Jean Renoir (1).

And I left out six films from 1939 including HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES and THE THREE MUSKETEERS.

Grace Kelly had her first major role in 1952. In 1956 she retired from acting.

I'd agree with the OP. Fassbender is quickly becoming my one of my favorites, and his resume is stellar.

In my lifetime...Fassbender easily has the strongest track record. And I'm very happy to see it.

One of the best 5 year runs= Jack Nicholson.
1970-1975. I realize you said three, but I'd rather just give this as an example.

I'd even give JONAH HEX to Brolin, he went on record early into production he took the role as a challenge after reading the script and realize it was awful.
Frankly, I'd say DeNiro (1973-1980) was an incredible run.
Eastwood (1966-1976) is also arguably a brilliant run, although PAINT YOUR WAGON is a love it or hate it film.
And I know Fassbender has only been 3 so far, but look at any three years for those two and you'll find a far more impressive output.

I guess I should have been more specific. I mean't the past 3 years. In the past 3 years his track record is second to none.

From 1998-2002 George Clooney worked with
Robert Rodriguez (From Duck Till Dawn)
David O. Russell (Three Kings)
The Coen Bros. (O Brother..."
Steven Soderburgh (Out of Sight)
Wolfgang Peterson (The Perfect Storm)
Trey Parker & Matt Stone (South Park: Bigger Longer)
Impressive list for a short amount of time.

I guess I have some homework to do, because the only movie on that Fassbender list I've seen is Inglorious Basterds.

I really like DC but his 3 years aren't Fassbender good.

Re: Has anyone had a more memorable 3 years on the big screen than Michael Fassbender
Takashi Shimura was in Rashomon, Ikiru, Seven Samurai and Godzilla within the span of about 4 years. His 1960-1963 output with Kurosawa isn't bad either.
