Movies an ex has ruined for you
I'm not talking about your girlfriend who can't sit still in the theater for 2 hours to save her life, but films that are representative of a period in your life, often associated with someone else, that you don't enjoy revisting as much because you think of the person (or dumb bitch) you spent time watching it with years ago.

I was molested constantly while 'It's A Wonderful Life' played in the background.
I always feel dirty when I here Jimmy Stewart's voice.
And now people actually think things like Pedobear are funny! SICK!!!

I was watching Mystery Men when I got a call that my grandfather had died. I still have the tape, but I can't watch it to this day (10 years later).

None. If I like it, like it. Just because I saw it with someone else that I had a falling out with would not take anything away from the movie.

A girl broke up with me after watching Mrs. Doubtfire. I can't watch that movie anymore, but because it sucks, not because of the break up. Never understood why that movie was such a big hit.

Sure, there are movies & tv shows that remind me of the ex(s), but a good movie is a good movie regardless. I remember my ex and I watching the entire Six Feet Under series on DVD, yet I still rewatch it about once a year since I love it so much.

The Prestige used to be that way with me. It was the last movie I saw with my GF at the time, and she liked it a lot. It was also after that night we started a casual drift away from each other and mutually called it off after getting quiet on one another. That night was the last time I saw her in the flesh for about three and a half years.
While I don't think it's anything to do with me seeing her later and realizing there were no hard feelings, I finally watched the movie again a few weeks afterward. Or it could have been that it was a week to the release of Inception and that was the only non-Batman movie Nolan had recently made.

Not an ex, but my best friend and I saw "Greedy" (Michael J. Fox/Kirk Douglas) on the day he was killed in a car accident. I've never been able to watch that movie again...but thankfully, I don't remember liking it.

Not a ruin story but "ex" related anyway. I remember going out of The Devil's Advocate with my gf at the time asking to go to the bathroom. She came back out with this big smile on her face and hugged me right after. She Had been late for her period at the time and it just arrived as we were watching he movie. By then we had accepted the possibility that she was pregnant. To this day I cannot watch that movie without having some sense of relief. Hehe

I hated "Johnny Be Good" for the longest time because I caught my best friend (at the time) holding hands with a girl I was really into (and he knew it). A group of us went to the theater and I guess he thought I wouldn't notice. I saw the movie years later and realized I wouldn't have liked the movie regardless.
Somewhat similarly... I disliked "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" for a while because whenever it came on, my aunt made me look away when the nude scenes came on. I didn't like Jackson Browne's "Somebody's Baby" either because whenever it came on the radio, I was reminded of how I was cheated out of seeing some quality nudity.

I got dumped once right after a screening of Role Models with said person. She was acting weird all night and then broke my heart in the parking lot.
I finally got around to re-watching it earlier this year.
It's a much better film when there isn't a **** sitting right next to you.
