Re: Guess That Movie By Screenshot (7 Plus Seven)

The star of this film won 1 leading-actor Oscar for a previous film and was nominated for three other acting Oscars prior to this film. One of his co-stars in this film co-starred in a film (and won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for that film) the previous year with the star of the previous film in this thread. Confused? Lots of previouses, I admit.

Re: Guess That Movie By Screenshot (7 Plus Seven)

I'm 99% sure that I know the film, but I'll hold off in case anyone else wants to guess first. I'll admit that it was your clue and the two screenshots in the latest post that tipped me off, as it's a favorite movie of mine and, like you said, one of the classiest of its type.

I'm going to put my coded guess in a spoiler; if you would, Norm, hold off on looking at the spoiler until you've had a few incorrect guesses and/or have posted another few screenshots. I've followed the procedure as outlined in this post.

Spoiler:

I didn't remember that old code, it's so long ago that we last played. You can guess if you wish, rbrown. There's no rule against it, though it's commendable of you to try to give others a chance. To that end, I'll post two more screenshots for tonight. If no one has produced the answer by tomorrow afternoon, I'll start posting giveaways.

The below shot is from one of the best scenes in the movie, and the most effective scene of its kind I have seen in cinema:

Nope.

The two lead performers have appeared in MCU movies.

Nope.

The title of this movie is very similar to a recent Best Picture winner.

Re: Guess That Movie By Screenshot (7 Plus Seven)

By Jove, there's just no widespread interest in this thread anymore. I'll burn up my two questions. I presume it's an American film? Is it from the decade 2000-2010?

Huh, I didn't know we got questions. Is this movie directed by a man or a woman?

Sorry, I was wrong. I checked the rules on page 1, and it's one question and two title guesses.
