Looks pretty good, and the cast is solid.

Wow, that's a ridiculous cast. However, this looks like one of those films that, even if it is technically excellent, I would have a difficult time watching and genuinely enjoying.

That tagline with the "on screen" addendum inadvertently makes it seem like they're being deferential to The Shield. And yeah as someone mentioned, the title too.

Definitely game for this one. Even though this has a pretty good cast it looks like an Indie film. I assume it's getting limited release.

I don't quite understand the cast comments. Are you making fun of the cast? I really can't tell.
Anne Heche, Ice Cube and Cynthia Nixon sure isn't anything to get excited about.
Woody is fine and I like Sigourney Weaver. Robin Wright is meh and Ned Beatty hasnt been in much as of late. That just leaves Buscemi. Buscemi is great, but I'm sure he'll just play the creepy guy that ends up getting killed, like pretty much all of his roles.

Re: Rampart (Moverman, 2011) - Woody Harrelson as a corrupt cop
Yeah, I'm wondering if they threw out the "most corrupt cop you've ever seen on the screen" line is them one upping Bad Lieutenant? I mean, most people are going to think of it when they hear most corrupt cop. It seems like he just might be, but whatever.
The film's trailer was pretty solid and it has me interested. What can I say, Moverman seems like he knows what he's doing so I will see it.

74% on RT, but none of my go-to critics have weighed in yet.
Update: Berardinelli posted his review this morning. 2 1/2 stars.

Denzel Washington played a corrupt LA cop in "Training Day" and did shit on the side to support his kids and family.

It's been a while since I watched this, but it is a solid performance by Woody in a pretty run of the mill film.
Woody's performance makes the film worth watching, but the movie in whole is nothing to write home about.

Finally saw this, and glad I did. A very small, low budget film. Nice cast and a great performance by Woody. The script was the weakest link, especially the

Saw this a week or so ago as well, forgot to mention it here. Not as good as I had expected, but a good performance from Woody. I saw the Thanksgiving Orphans episode of Cheers immediately before, to contrast.
