You can be like me and my wife. We're seeing This Is Forty on Saturday and Django on the following Monday.

A gun is always good to have in a movie theater. I've been in theaters plenty of times, where people start a shouting match over someone talking, or on their cell phone. If only we all had guns, they could have solved the problem by shooting people.

People are so level headed. We should promote that they all carry guns.

Got the ST from Amazon but can't seem to get it to open in Itunes, or even show up. Any advice?

Do you have the Amazon MP3 downloader? Download that, go to preferences and set it up so the tracks go to iTunes.

In iTunes, go to File >> Add folder to library, then navigate to the folder. If you've done that already, the soundtrack is probably in your library but not where you'd think it would be. If you sort by artist you might have to change how you sort to find it.

When I downloaded it to my PC, it was just as an Amazon mp3.

If you are looking at albums, it's under Q for Quentin not D for Django. I got mine from Amazon too, thought it wasn't there until I figured that out.

How does that in any way affect what I wrote? You need to import the MP3s into iTunes.

I got the album and listen to the songs, but skip over the tracks that are just dialogue lifted from the movie so I don't possibly spoil it for myself before seeing it.

I thought about that, but Tarantino puts so much thought into structuring the music, and making his selections, that I kind of want to be surprised hearing it unfold during the movie.

Already bought the soundtrack on CD. Good stuff, really looking forward to the film. Also ordered the first issue of the comic but will wait til I've seen the film to read it.

Re: Django Unchained -- D: Quentin Tarantino S: Foxx, DiCaprio, Waltz -- 12/25/12

Well here is one person not seeing it

Spike Lee Won't See 'Django Unchained,' Says "American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western"

Catching up with Vibe (via Shadow & Act), the director stated quite clearly why he felt he coulnd't watch the movie. "I can't speak on it 'cause I'm not gonna see it. I'm not seeing it. All I'm going to say is that it's disrespectful to my ancestors, to see that film. That's the only thing I'm gonna say," he explained. "I can't disrespect my ancestors. I can't do it. Now, that's me, I'm not speaking on behalf of anybody but myself."

Of course, the comments attracted immediate attention, and Lee hit Twitter as well saying: "American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western. It Was A Holocaust. My Ancestors Are Slaves. Stolen From Africa. I Will Honor Them." And of course, this prompted further debate and Lee stayed online for a while last night to read and respond to comments (it's worth a browse).

And while we'll let this conversation play out in the comments, particularly as people see the movie in the coming days and weeks, it should be noted that this isn't the first time Tarantino has been the target of Lee's criticisms. Circa "Jackie Brown," Lee took issue with the amount of n-words peppered throughout the movie, telling Variety at the time: "I'm not against the word. And some people speak that way. But Quentin is infatuated with that word. What does he want to be made--an honorary black man?...I want Quentin to know that all African Americans do not think that word is trendy or slick."

Re: Django Unchained -- D: Quentin Tarantino S: Foxx, DiCaprio, Waltz -- 12/25/12

Not surprising.

Slavery wasn't a lot of things. It wasn't Django that's for sure. And that's fine..it's not trying to prove anything about slavery. It as a text knows this....and being a text w/ great homage to other sources...it's obvious. But Spike Lee will bitch to bitch cuz Tarantino is Tarantino.

Went to both Best Buy & Target yesterday to look for the sndtrk. No such luck. Looks like an online order's coming up.

Oh and I guess it's a counter-attack on Spike because TVONE,BET,and Centric are all showing specials on the movie tonight (TVONE's runs for an hour and the other are cut down to 30 minutes)

BTW, it's unusual (On the tv spots) to see that there's no descriptions/explanations given on the R-rating....At least, not yet.

The official rating
Spoiler:
MPAA Rating: R (for strong graphic violence throughout, a vicious fight, language and some nudity)
