I used to think the same way but I saw this again about a month ago and realized how unrealistic it actually is....
I'll echo 500 Days of Summer. It shows a realistic relationship between people in their 20's.
And not that I'm there yet so I can't say for sure but The Last Kiss was the same except with characters in their 30's.
The relationship that we only got a glimpse of between Peter and Sarah in Forgetting Sarah Marshall was pretty realistic as well.

No love for Forgetting Sarah Marshall? I know it's a comedy but the flashbacks to the prior relationship and their change in tone as he starts falling for Kunis' character are pretty well done.

I know this may sound like a stupid suggestion, but I always appreciated the realism of the George/Mary relationship in It's a Wonderful Life. For a 1940s film, it shows some of the realistic troubles that normal relationships go through.

Absolutely. For the audience to accept the fantasy elements--Clarence the Angel and George's trip into an alternate universe--there has to be a strong, dramatic, realistic underpinning. And that's why this film has worked for 65 years.

It's TV. But Curb Your Enthusiasm is a good one. Minus the divorce stuff, they actually remind me a lot of my parents (some minor quips, but nobody was ever really mad at each other, everything ended up being friendly). I only watch the first two seasons, though.

Oddly enough, the first thing to spring to mind was Good Will Hunting.
