Best rescue-action scenes
Just re-watched Donner's Superman and I still find the helicopter scene where Superman rescues Lois Lane riveting.
Can you name action scenes from past movies which involve rescuing that you still find an absolute thrill? Bryan Singer's Superman Returns where Superman saves the plane and True Lies where Schwarzenegger saves Jamie Lee Curtis in that car chase comes to mind. |

"Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue" was full of such scenes.
From movies, I'd choose Hayao Miyazaki's LAPUTA: CASTLE IN THE SKY (aka CASTLE IN THEY SKY, 1986) and the scene where Pazu makes that daring rescue of Sheeta from the burning fortress. And let's not forget Kiki's flying broomstick rescue of Tombo in Miyazaki's next film, KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE (1989). |
