I too thought about wtf he was doing next. I haven't seen Shotgun Stories yet, is that streaming anywhere?
I loved the everloving hell out of Take Shelter. Out of Mud and that one TS was fucking great. Shannon made me care so much about that guy and as to what was happening.

Midnight Special is an upcoming American science fiction film written and directed by Jeff Nichols. The film stars Adam Driver, Michael Shannon, Kirsten Dunst, and Joel Edgerton. It is Nichols' fourth feature film, and his first studio production.

I was already there after Shotgun Stories. I've loved all 3 of his films. Mud especially.

That guy is on a roll. I haven't seen his first 3 films, but his last 3 (Incendies, Prisoners & especially Enemy) have been good.
His next film Sicario with Josh Brolin, Benicio Del Toro & Emily Blunt (Roger Deakins is the cinematographer) sounds good.
