I think he just took the question the wrong way, like if he celebrates the anniversary of that film he did in 1989.

Keaton was my favorite Batman and he's a good actor. I have no interest in seeing Beetlejuice 2. But I always like to see Keaton in new films.

He should play Bruce Wayne in the Batman Beyond film.

Michael Keaton would make a pretty good Joker.

I understand Jeffrey Jones is free. Well, on probation at least.

I think the Beetlejuice 2 stuff might be a joke because Keaton jokes in the RoboCop interview "about the same time I get asked to do Batman again". After asked about it.

All the main players are still around, so they should just go for it. Keaton should be high profile again after this awards season

So how do they explain ghost Alec Baldwin's weight gain?

Not a fan of Burton but I enjoy Beetlejuice and Keaton is one of my favorite actors. If he's in I'm in.

What about how the afterlife has changed Geena Davis into a man?

I'd still love to see a Beetlejuice 2.

Keaton might want to steer clear of this...he may soon be a respected Academy Award winner. :)

The Maitlands should be left out completely. No one cares about them.

Mickey Rourke didn't get an Oscar because of a match he was gonna wrestle for WWE, so stranger things have happened.

I just saw Danny Elfman's The Music of Tim Burton at Lincoln Center... so I was curious about updates on this. This news is kind of old... but I guess from the looks of it, it seems to be Burton's next film after the one he's currently working on. Keaton has nothing lined up after his McDonald's founder movie. Ryder has some ongoing TV/Netflix work.

Quote:

This follow-up to Tim Burton and Michael Keaton’s 1988 “ghost with the most” film has long been a passion project for Grahame-Smith, who is writing and co-producing with Burton—with whom he worked on 2012’s Dark Shadows. “[Burton] was doing press for Big Eyes right before the holiday, and was getting the Beetlejuice question, and sort of tipped people off that Winona [Ryder] would be back. Which yes, she will be back,” Grahame-Smith says.

“I think we landed on the right idea, landed on the right approach. It’s just now making sure that—for me—I don’t want to shit my pants in front of the entire world making a sequel to one of my favorite movies.”

Status: He has completed a few drafts of the script, and received interest from all the principle players. “I’ve emailed with Michael Keaton. I know he’s excited about the idea. I know Tim is excited about the idea. Where it stands now is Tim’s got to get ready to make [Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children], and then hopefully we are set, deals are done, and we’re waiting in the wings ready to go right after Peregrine’s wraps up. The ideal timeline is we’re really getting into it toward the end of this year.”

I'm actually glad her career is back in a bit of an upswing since co-starring on OitNB.

For all the things that are getting sequels, rebooted, etc. I am quite surprised that this has taken so long to do. Hopefully by the end of the year, this actually happens.
