count me in the 'can't wait' column

"Stoker," the psychological thriller starring Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode and Nicole Kidman has started production in Nashville, Tenn.
Acclaimed Korean helmer Park Chan-wook ("Oldboy," "Thirst") is making his English-language debut from an original screenplay by the Wentworth Miller (star of "Prison Break"), who wrote under his pen name, Ted Foulke. Scott Free Productions’ Tony Scott, Ridley Scott and Michael Costigan are producing for Fox Searchlight Pictures
After India's (Wasikowska's) dad is killed in a car crash, her hiterto-unknown Uncle Charlie (Goode), moves in with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Kidman). The lonely India starts to suspect Charlie of having diabolical plans, but can't help bonding with him. Sounds a bit like Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt."
Dermot Mulroney and Jacki Weaver are also set to star.

Trailer:

...looks like a Korean flick, but in English. For some reason that's more jarring than I thought it'd be.

If it's got Kidman in it, it's must-see for me. Goddamn, she's good. The NY Observer just wrote a good piece on the polarity of her career to coincide with the NYFF honoring her this year.

I remember it being in the trades a while ago and how he scored a deal. What was funny then was that it sounded like a total bore, but once Park got involved, I had to change my shorts.

Foulke’s Stoker, which has Carey Mulligan and Jodie Foster attached, has gotten some ink.
^ Damn, he went from attracting talent to.. replacing it with equally impressive talent.

New international trailer with a lot of new footage. This flick looks gorgeous.

Still don't really know what to make of it. Part of me thinks it looks like a movie you'd pick up for $5 from Walmart, the other part of me thinks it looks like it could be solid.
It has some great ingredients to it and I think Park Chan-wook is a solid director so I'll give it benefit of the doubt.
This will have a Limited Release in the US on March 1st, 2013. We'll see how it does.
Now where's the trailer for Snowpiercer?
