What movie theme am I thinking of?
 

Try this one, folks, because it's been in my head all day and I want to hear it for real.

It's a movie theme song, I believe from the 1980s. It starts out with a driving violin, then a piano starts doing the melody and then, I believe, a saxophone takes it over. After a while there are long holds on the violin notes.

It's a beautiful, elegant, almost morose theme. I'm trying to place it with a drama from the 1980s. At first, I thought it was Terms of Endearment or Broadcast News but those aren't it.

Ideas on this one?
