I think an aquatic-based Jurassic Park would be kind of cool. Sort of like Jaws with Pleisosaurs, Ichthyosaurs, and Mosasaurs.

I hope that leaked synopsis is fake, because that sounds like an epic fail to me. Of course, it might sound cheesier on paper than it actually is, but the idea that after the events of the first three films that anyone would greenlight a theme park is a huge stretch of plausibility - they better have a scene explaining that.

It's no bigger of a stretch than the generic ways to get people on the island in the first two films.

At any rate, at least this idea puts a shit ton of people on the island. Couple thousand people confined to the island + Dino's on the loose = chaos fucking theory!

Unless Malcolm falls 60 feet to his death. Then it's sad.

Seeing aquatic reptiles from the Mesozoic would be fun too. They're not considered true dinosaurs but the big ones were plenty scary enough.

Michael Crichten loved the greedy, unethical, business character in his stories. A scene in some board room saying "the hell with the events of the past, this theme park will make millions..." is all that's needed.

Didn't Sam Neill say he'd heard it was going to be a complete reboot?

re: Jurassic World (2015, Trevorrow)

With what the director has said about loving those first three movies, it definitely sounds like something that's stuck with the specific concept that the three movies had, beyond just dinosaurs.

I too really hope that's not the real story, they need to do something fresh and not a reboot.

Is that the one that hunts accompanied by several raptor wives that encircle the prey?

I think finally getting to see a working Jurassic Park would be an awesome idea.

My idea is to have a dinosaur park, but only with dinosaurs that don't want to eat people.

re: Jurassic World (2015, Trevorrow)

I'd be thrilled to death if this were R-rated and once the dinos are loosed it becomes the film version of Dinosaurs Attack!.
