"Perceived fraud".

Can't believe people still attempt to defend these liars and thieves. One non-imax, non-3d showtime greyed out at 9:15 am as no longer available. Save your judgement. I get a movie a day, it matters not one fucking bit if my butt is actually in the seat the cost to them is the same.

Yep, it was great while it lasted, but the e-Ticketing option is no longer available for my Cinepolis either. I'll be joining the done club this month.

Another week of art house and indie films... not a mainstream one in the bunch.

Maybe next week?

MAINSTREAM FILM ALERT: If you haven’t seen it with MP yet, Venom is available on Thursday, November 8th.

Yup, that’s it. Nothing else to see here.

Damn you, MP!

Just E-ticket option. you can still use the regular check-in if available.

I drove across town on Sunday because it was the ONLY theater that had ANY showtimes available. I saw the new Suspiria. I can't say I recommend it. But at least I got to use my 3rd film for the month (which ends today for me). I had ZERO faith that I'd find anything available at night this week, so jumped at the only showtime I could...

Tomorrow begins my FINAL MONTH with MP. Amen to that. I look forward to ending this terrible relationship.

I got this email from MoviePass yesterday

I'd like to explain why from time to time you may have had a "ruff" experience with us, but it turns out that I'm a dog and I can't talk. What I do know is that I see these humans working like crazy to make MoviePass better and better for you as fast as possible. They are so grateful for your membership and support while they work it out.

We're listening. We're learning. We're changing.

So, uh, yeah, I was all set to cancel, but now that I got this email filled with dog puns and no real information, I've decided to stick it out.

In other news, I saw Mid90's at the art theater on Monday, and will try to get out there at least one more time before my membership expires on the 17th.

re: MoviePass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: THE DEAD SHALL RISE]

Well, that swag MP said they were sending me came via FedEx today:

Perfect timing because I'm this close to finally canceling, too. The movie selection lately has been terrible. With a little more than a week to go for my month I still have two movies left on my account. (I was *really* hoping Bohemian Rhapsody would be available. I ended up paying out of pocket for it the other day, the first time I've done that for a first run movie since I joined MP.)

They're resorting to send free swag to entice subscribers to stay? Maybe they're cleaning out their unsold t-shirts.

And damn. I would've much preferred a black t-shirt. I might actually wear that one out in public.

Yes. But you could only wear them on certain days. Then they started charging you an additional $2 each time you wore it. Sometimes the holes for your head and/or arms would just randomly disappear when you tried to put it on. Some people tried throwing the shirts away, but MP would just charge their credit card and send them another shirt.

I think I'd rather wear a MAGA shirt. it's also red and if I wore it out in public only 60% of the general population would immediately hate me for wearing it.

Also why are you worried about what movies are available? Why don't you just check in and buy a ticket for another movie?

re: MoviePass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: THE DEAD SHALL RISE]

I’ve been trying to figure that out ...

Technically they brought the stock price up for a very brief time, but I don’t believe they met the market cap requirement.

Could it be that they stalled the delisting again with the proposal to spin MP off from HMNY?

That doesn't work for me. I'm on the annual membership and I still have to submit ticket photos. The midnight app trick no longer works and going to DC just to use my MoviePass at e-ticket theaters is unfeasible.
