TIME magazine 25 best animated features of all-time
http://www.time.com/time/specials/pa...079152,00.html
TIME’s Richard Corliss has assembled a rich multimedia slideshow of his choices for the 25 best animated features of all-time. Each movie gets a fine tribute from Corliss illustrated with clips.
25. Lady and the Tramp (1955)
24. Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)
23. Yellow Submarine (1968)
22. Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! (2008)
21. Kung Fu Panda (2008)
20. Paprika (2007)
19. Tangled (2010)
18. The Lion King (1994)
17. Akira (1988)
16. Happy Feet (2006)
15. Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005)
14. The Adventures of Prince Achmed (1926)
13. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
12. Toy Story (1995)
11. Toy Story 3 (2010)
10. The Little Mermaid (1989)
9. Finding Nemo (2003)
8. The Triplets of Belleville (2003)
7. Up (2009)
6. South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999)
5. Spirited Away (2001)
4. Dumbo (1941)
3. The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie (1979)
2. WALL-E (2008)
1. Pinocchio (1940)
I think I would toss The Iron Giant in there somewhere...and maybe Beauty and the Beast.

Wall-E, Up, and Toy Story 3 are all too high (and I like them). I like seeing Tangled on there, even though it's too high for my list. Happy Feet is the only complete joke on it.

No Brad Bird, period — no Iron Giant, Incredibles, or Ratatouille, that is — just blows my mind.

The Incredibles should definitely be on the list, and near the top. WALL-E and Up are way overrated.
The Nightmare Before Christmas is another glaring omission.
Overall, I give this list a big

Horton Hears a Who and Tangled? Are you kidding me?
Sleeping Beauty and Fantasia deserve to be on the list

They should have removed the 3 Anime films off and called the list the 25 best english language cartoons. Akira,Spirited Away and Paprika are not even close to being the best anime flicks but they are 3 of the most well known and were just put there for token inclusion.
No Incredibles, Mary and Max,Beauty and the beast,Watership Down and the best of the three Toy Story movies being excluded.

But yeah, really weird selections on the list although I was happy to see South Park make it.

Yeah, there's just way too much missing from that list for me to wrap my brain around, and the inclusion of Happy Feet and Horton Hears a Who (and Tangled, though I still like it) over a lot of the stuff already mentioned in this thread is simply coconuts.

Toy Story 2, Ratatouille and Beauty and the Beast are the BIG omissions for me. I'm very surprised Bambi wasn't listed as well.

to Spirited Away making the list
to Toy Story, Toy Story 3, no Incredibles and Toy Story 2
Also, Paprika? If we're going off animated feature trailers, sure, actual movie? not so much.

No Fantasia?
The Lion King probably wouldn't have made my list since I rank it below Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast.
Since I think Ratatouille is Pixar's best, naturally I'm not happy to see it excluded. And I concur with the questions about no Toy Story 2 while the others made it. At least if it was just the first one, I could understand.
I actually liked Happy Feet, but I wouldn't have put it on the list.

The Bugs Bunny/Roadunner Movie?? It's just a few of the regular Bugs Bunny cartoons strung together. Sad Iron Giant isn't on there. If Horton's on it, then Giant deserves a spot higher than it.

And a serious thumbs down for not including Iron Giant.

Some of the picks on that list are pretty good but there are a few on there where it seems like he just picked a random popular animated movie that came out recently. I mean come on Horton Hears a Who, Kung Fu Panda, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Happy Feet really belong on a best of all time list? I mean they're decent enough movies but I wouldn't put them on a best of all time list. I'd throw Aladdin on there and Batman: Mask of the Phantasm personally.

I really got to check out Paprika. I heard about it in the past. But it slipped my mind. Trailer is great.
