Re: The Most Unintentionally Hilarious Scenes in Dramatic Movies

There's been many movies with the unintentionally funny scene. I'll mention one moment in one of my favorite movies, The Poseidon Adventure. After realizing a killer tidal wave is heading toward his ship, Leslie Nielsen turns to a crew member and says, "by the way, happy new year."

Re: The Most Unintentionally Hilarious Scenes in Dramatic Movies

Karate Kid III is a terrible movie, although I LOVE it. The dialogue sounds like it's being made up on the spot.

Daniel "What are you talking about?"
Silver: "What am I talking about?"
Daniel: "Yeah, what?"
Silver: "Show him what I'm talking about!"
Barnes: "I'M what he's talking about, shithead!"

That's good stuff. Got the audience laughing. Yes, I saw it during its theatrical run.

Another part of the same movie with Daniel with the new girl got a laugh too just by the totally spastic and unnatural way Daniel was walking.

John Wayne's line "Truly, this man was the son of God" from The Greatest Story Ever Told.

Mike Barnes is now a sleazy soap opera villain, which in hindsight was a natural career move.

This way over the top, unintentionally hilarious scene from Two Weeks in Another Town. The rear projection is soooo bad I swear I thought I was watching a Keystone Kops film:

It starts at around the 3:00 minute mark:

yeah..that rear projection is pretty bad...but the camerawork they used for the car was good...neat effect of the scraping the passengers' side.

Re: The Most Unintentionally Hilarious Scenes in Dramatic Movies

There's in a scene in Spider-Man where Aunt May is kneeling and sayng the Lord's Prayer and she gets to the line "and deliver us..." when the Green Goblin breaks through the wall of the house and yells, "finish it!"
And poor Aunt May is screaming in fearb and yells, "from evil!"

MAn, me and my best friend were histerical laughing in the theater at that for a good ten minutes. The people we were with and others in the audience were giving us the whats wrong with you looks.

To this day, we crack up at that scene.

I don't think Spider-Man qualifies as a "dramatic movie."

That's brilliant.

Mostly everything Clint says in Sudden Impact.
The scene in the elevator at near the start of the movie when he grabs the kid and yells at him.
Maybe my favorite is the coffee scene in the diner, starting with the server pouring an entire jar of sugar in his cup then after Harry comes back in to complain that he never gets sugar and finishes with the "Smith, and Wessen and Me" and ending at "Go ahead, make my day".

"Call D'Ambrosia in the da's office and ask him if coffee is psychic."

I remember there being a slightly questionable dream sequence in Attack of the Clones where Anakin is groaning "no, mum....no" or something. I remember giggling like a school girl at that

I had a motion graphics teacher that forced us to go see that movie in a dive of a movie theater in NYC because of its VFX. Man it's AWFUL, horrible cheesy. I don't remember laughing but waiting for that shit to end as soon as I started watching it.

On Sneak Previews Michael Medved (or was it Neal Gabler...Jefferey Lyons?) claimed that Wayne was "out of sorts" the day that was filmed.

While I wouldn't qualify the whole movie Deep Blue Sea as dramatic, there was this one scene ... you know the scene I'm talking about. I can't believe no one has mentioned it.
