Most movies you have watched in one day?
 

Not necessarily at the theater but at your own pace. Any marathoners here? As for me, probably just 5.

I watched Blade Runner 7 times in one day (4 cuts, plus 3 commentaries).

The year that Return of the King was up for Oscars, by best friend and I watched all 3 EE in one sitting. Felt like 6 or seven by the time it was over.

Real answer...probably 4 or 5 on sick days.

Around 4 or 5. I would watch Godfather 1-3 and Goodfellas...other days I would watch many van damme flicks.

4 to 6 - On some sick day or when my entire family was away for a weekend.

But, I have watched about 14 TV shows on DVD/BR in one day:

-Smallville: 1st day of summer and my kids had not watched the early shows yet, so we sat down and watched S1 through S5 in about 2 weeks, LOTS OF FUN.

-Band of Brothers: Straight through (2x, about a year apart)

Don't get many days like that anymore.

I'm not sure, but no more than 5. I couldn't watch more than that and still sanely appreciate what I'm viewing.

Just recently (Day #29)
13 movies
(Started around 1:00am. Got some sleep after the 3rd movie. Resumed movie-watching around 10 or 11am. Ended the night around 11:30pm)
Enough boobs & violence to keep me going -popcorn-

8 was also my record for one of the Halloween challenges. But I threw in a Masters-of-Horror episode in there along with Genuine: A Tale of a Vampire, which is a short.

Movies: 8 - started pretty early on a Saturday.

TV shows: 10 episodes of Fringe on a Sunday.

Movies at home...probably 8 during one of the Halloween Challenges. At the theater, I'd often catch 4 movies over the course of a day when I was younger.

The entire group of Planet of the Ape movies at the theater. I used to go to the Cleveland International Film Festival and on Saturday the movies started at 10 am and end with a midnight screening and there was a time or two I did the entire day, so I would guess 6-7. Same for home.

Last month, during a sick week, I used the time at home to participate in DVD Talk's B-movie challenge (see link below) and I wound up watching six films in one day (Wed. April 6). Granted they were all 90 min. or shorter (one was 62 min.). They were all good, too. That's the most in a very long time.

Back in the day, I used to watch 5 or 6 movies a day on TV on the weekends--and this was pre-cable, pre-internet, pre-video. I remember a day back in the '70s when I saw 5 or 6 movies in theaters on one day--all in Manhattan and not even in the same neighborhoods. (Granted, there were a couple of double features in there.)

I think about 6 is my record -- we had a small asian film fest for shits and giggles a few years ago (Oldboy, Battle Royale, Audition, Happiness of the Katakuris, Shaolin Soccer, God of Cookery)

5, theatrically. I was out of town without a car visiting a friend, and he had to work an extended shift one day, so he just dropped me off at the theater/mall area on his way in. I remember Blink, The Joy Luck Club, Six Degrees of Separation, and Wayne's World 2, but I have no idea what the fifth one was (which must have been really bad, obviously).

I did plow through an entire season of Futurama when I was home sick one day.

OLD BOY, BATTLE ROYALE and AUDITION one right after the other is pretty hardcore. SHAOLIN SOCCER is a suitable antidote, although I think I would have simply killed myself at that point.

11, I was pretty sick so I watched as many Martial Arts flicks as I could find near me.

Yeah we crushed through the darker movies first, it was fun finishing it off with the shaolin cook-off in God of Cookery.
