Another variation on the Freaky Friday premise, but this one does look pretty promising.
Warning, red band trailer:

Once again, Bateman and Leslie Mann (Mrs. Judd Apatow) play husband and wife.

I was reading about this in Entertainment Weekly the other day. Looks like it could be worth checking out.

So Olivia Wilde looks great in this and in Tron Legacy... Did she piss off her hair & makeup people in House? They don''tt make her look "bad" but they do make her look bland. Or maybe it's just my general loathing for that show.
Anyhoo, this doesn't look great but it does seem like an enjoyable rental down the road.

I'll probably watch it; it's been a down year for stupid comedies, so I hope this twist on an old formula has some better laughs.

All I can think about is how obscenely rich AC/DC must be from everybody putting their songs in movie trailers.
They've been playing 38 years, 200+ million albums sold worldwide, and they're STILL making money.

I went and looked him up on the internet and his car collection is considered one of the best in the world. Tens of millions in cars easy.
Those guys are loaded. And Brian came in late in the game.

Just saw the red band trailer for this. The red band makes it look a lot funnier than the spots they're showing on TV and in the theatres.

/\ I haven't seen the red band trailer, but I saw the movie last week, and it is very raunchy. Of all this summer's R-rated comedies, this is the one who most earned it's rating.
As a whole, though, the movie is very uneven, and the few laughs that it does have does not elevate how detestable some of the situations are.

I saw a screening of this last night in San Francisco, and I thought it was awful. The leads do a good job with their characters, but I'm convinced that this movie didn't take place on earth. A lot of out there gags, and gross out humor that just doesn't work. The movie felt 4 hours long.

OK, I know you didn't mean it that way.
I've been looking forward to the movie so I hope it's better than you say.
I'm really tired of raunchy comedies though. So often the filmmakers seem to think if it's raunchy and crude enough it doesn't have to be, you know, good.

After There's Something About Mary, in the late 90's/early '00s, there were bunch of comedies trying to out-raunch each other. Then came Judd Apatow in 2005. Since then, it seems like most R-rated comedies are inspired by his comedy and actors.

Saw it last night. It's predictable to the extreme but damn if my wife and I weren't laughing our asses off throughout.
The gross out stuff is plentiful, but works for the most part. I've gotta say, they totally go for it on more than one occasion. And it's fun to see Bateman and Reynolds play each other, especially Bateman. He gets to cut loose for once.
I'd give it a B-
