Quarantine 2 (2011)
Whatever. I liked the first one and since it changed the reason for the outbreak we can essentially have a fork in the road with the sequels.
This one takes place in an airport terminal. I found the trailer on a spanish(?) website and I couldn't find it on youtube. http://www.aullidos.com/videos.asp?i...9&VideoID=1560 Looks ok to me. |

wonder if it's better than this one....

Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
The part of Rec 2 that was filmed with that teen's camera made me really queasy. Hopefully, they don't use that same technique/style for this remake.

Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
Don't have any interest in this, but hopefully it causes the blus of Rec 1 and 2 to be released on blu in the US

Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
I saw the preview of this on some DVD I just watched it had something like "Terminal" attached to it. It looked OK for a direct to DVD flick if that is the route they are going.

Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
I'll check it out. I enjoyed the first one (though not as much as [REC]). Surprised there are virtually no recognizable names in the cast...the first installment has some awareness around it.
|
Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
I thought the first one was ok, but I liked [rec] more. Of course, [rec] 2 trumps them all, so I'm wondering how this one will pan out.

Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
I really liked the first one, so I will check this out.

Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
Too bad they abandoned the whole "fake documentary" style and are making this seem more like a sequel to Flight of the Living Dead instead of Quarantine. :(

Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
I hated the sequel. It was just a random mess of a movie. The first on the other hand was great.
|
Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
The trailer looks alright. Without the "found footage/documentary" style shooting, it just looks like your run of the mill Zombie flick.

I guess this went straight to VOD (it says limited release on June 17th but I didn't see a damn thing about that). http://www.amazon.com/Quarantine-2-T.../dp/B0056AYN52 |
Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
It's also available up on iTunes.
Sony probably didn't even give it a brief theatrical release like they said they were. Isn't the DVD/BD out in October anyway? |
Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
November I believe. Which also makes zero sense.

Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
I watched this on PPV the other night. It's pretty cheap, and despite the title, it doesn't take place in a terminal. It's also a bit hokey at times, and I have to wonder how
Spoiler:
It's okay for a DTV level watch. |
Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
Just watched this. Liked it a lot. It was a well made low budget infection movie that expanded on the story of the first one. Some good action and some scares. The final shot makes me hope for a 3rd one.
I'd say if you have any interest in seeing it, it's worth the @ $7 or so to see it. I'll end up buying this for my "zombie" collection for sure. |
Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
Is the story of this one similar to [REC]2? I personally loved how that one expanded on the original.
I never bothered to see Quarantine, but I might give it a chance, solely because of Deb from Dexter. :) |
Re: Quarantine 2 (2011)
No. Quarantine had a different cause for the outbreak so it gets to follow it's own path. The sequel is nothing like Rec2. It's kinda neat from a storytelling standpoint, since the first ones were so similar. One detail changes and the stories diverge completely.
